Hello I don't have sound on Firefox. I made all points from article mozilla's about trobleshooting with sound, but it still doesn't works. I have sound on others - Chrome, Edge, Opera. I tried also install Firefox to my laptop and it's the same problem. I turned off blocking of sound in settings. What can I do with it? I very like Firefox and don't image to be without it. So, I have a couple of bookmarks folders with something like 200+ entries, with the folders themselves on my bookmarks toolbar. Previously, when I opened the folder from the toolbar, it would default to the last position observed, e.g. if I selected a bookmark from the middle, it'd open back up to the middle.

It's stopped doing that lately, and instead always opens to the top of the folder. I realize this sounds minor, but it's catastrophic for my use case. Anyone got any tips on how to make it revert to the previous behavior?

I logged onto my daughters school google account through firefox and now they are managing my browser. Which registry do I need to delete in order to remove this so I can use firefox again? Can I just delete the entire Mozilla folder

I had to clear History and Cookies on my desktop to get an online purchase done. I was able to add my passwords for every site bar one (afl.com.au). It just won't accept my password despite changing it. Works fine in Brave and Chrome. Also fine on my laptop (didn't clear anything there). Any help sincerely appreciated.

I find one infuriating problem with Firefox. When on a tab with sound, the 'silence' icon (the little loudspeaker) is right next to the 'kill' icon (the stylized 'X'). They are no more than a millimeter apart. For those of us with any shake this means it is far too easy to hit the wrong one. I have lost count of the number of times I have tried to silence a page for a bit and completely wiped it out instead and had to re-start the page and hunt through the video to find where I was up to. It is bad or me, it must be terrible for people with severe parkinsons disease or any other shake problems. Would it not be possible to create a customising option to separate these, or even just remove the kill X when the sound is on, as it is rare anybody would want to kill a page in mid-speech. Then if you've had enough, just silence it, then kill it.

What idiot thought it would be a great idea to replace "View Image" with "Open Image In New Tab"? Seriously? What the fracking hell. I used View Image all the time with a combination of Ctrl W to close tabs after saving images in bulk. Now you've deleted View Image to replace it with something dumber. Perhaps instead of replacing it, you should have altered its functionality to open a new tab if someone's holding Shift when they click it. Did you ever think of that? No, you were probably thinking about how to make Firefox worse. Ugh, why is firefox getting worse and worse with time? You guys keep taking away features and deliberately ruining the firefox experience, pretty soon its just gonna be another dumbed down clone of Chrome, the browser for the lower intellect. "Oh shame, too many buttons? Let us dumb it down for you. Configurations too complex? Here, we'll stupify it for you~ Its ok to be an ape level intelligence~"

You should be teaching people to be smarter, not bowing to their lower intellectual capabilities.

Now I've had to get a plugin to bring back the view image feature and this plugin actually does it better than you ever could have. Maybe its Mozilla thats getting dumber and not the rest of the world. Maybe their developers are losing intellect so they have to dumb down their own program so they can manage it. Who knows. I'm starting to suspect this.

I am using Firefox browser and up until today i have always been able to download videos and photos stories from Instagram to my desktop. I can not today I have tried with all addons/ extensions removed. I have some of the adons that will do it but everytime i try to and get the download arrow in the address bar for the download it says failed I have it configured to go to the desktop and amusing the latest version of Firefox . I can download them from Chrome but not firefox i do you know whay

I just got a MISERABLE updated Firefox that increased the spacing in my bookmarks menu so it is essentially UNUSABLE with double or triple spacing requiring scrolling till one's arm falls off! Why is it us poor peons out here who just want to use our computers and the internet, and the Firefox they've used FOR YEARS, have to be subject to arbitrary UNNECESSARY changes made by some "developer", possible trying to justify his/her existence and/or is stir crazy in lockdown? win10 bookmarks on the right. FIX IT! And stop screwing up WHAT WAS WORKABLE! I'm not a "nerd" able to just manipulate stuff...I want MY FIREFOX BACK!

I don't know if it's a need to mark your territory, or some marketing major blathering about "holistic new user experience paradigms"--and I put up with the stupid move to tabs on top (because apparently some dev felt that what Firefox users really wanted was Chrome!)--but this is a hideous, steaming turd.

'Oh no, showing the 'close tab' icon and clearly delineating between tabs interrupts the synergistic flow of the UI! Let's make the tabs one disgusting, unreadable blur from left to right! Also, let's make them take up more real estate on the screen, because people have higher resolution screens now--we can totally dominate the upper quarter! Oh, and force the change to the new layout, don't give people an option to revert--and don't warn them, either! EVERYONE MUST SEE OUR MAJESTIC, PERFECT, UNASSAILABLE VISION! Surely that won't confuse TF out of a bunch of grandparents whose hapless children/grandchildren will have to completely re-explain, multiple times, how to get to Facebook!'

Rolled back to 88.01, went through the "new profile" crap you put in to discourage rollback/cover for poor programming, and disabled automatic updates. Barring a major, earth-shattering security vuln, I'm done updating. And when that time comes, I'll find another browser.

I upgraded to Firefox v89/64bit. Now when I open a new tab Firefox forces me to use the address bar for searches. I can't find anything in 'Settings' that will let me change this. Maybe I've missed something obvious. Is there a way to turn this 'feature' off? Thanks in advance for any help provided.

Many websites are showing the placeholder or the back end text for elements instead of the expected titles. I have two extensions viz. dark reader and ublock but I have them both turned off and checked still it shows the same annoying thing.

On major updates to Firefox you sometimes get a one time message about some new feature, etc. When you respond it does not come up again. I do not want to get any one time messages after an update. Is there some option besides 'kiosk' mode to accomplish this?

FBI's suggestion was to start with an IC3 Complaint. I forgot to tell you. They tried to erased the almost 100GB of evidence I have including the 18GB of devastating evidence against them. Well they infected 3 hardware devices I own hoping that I would insert the flash drives with the evidence in the computer and then they can wipe them clean. I lost 75GB but recovered 52GB from a back up scheme I had. Most important: Now I have them in the act of setting up their trap in my computer, plus I have 3 hardware devices infected with their code. One is a USB type A to USB type C adapter by Belkin. they know the whole thing. I spoke to their security all the way to their corporate offices. As you know they're also a defense contractor. The 2nd device is a 3.3 USB reader by SanDisk (Western Digital). I started telling them until they blocked me. So they only know their device was modify to do evil. But I didn't have time to tell them that 2 additional devices suffered the same thing. So, SanDisk thinks they are the only company. The 3rd device is from Kingston it's 3.0 USB card reader but but the time I finished with SanDisk I couldn't communicate with Kingston. Unless the security force from Belkin told them, they are unaware that their device was used for nefarious purposes by MS and GGL (But attempt to abbreviate.) Bottom line I have the dramatic footage of 18GB and 3 hardware devices. of their code. I hope these info gets to you. I have to take a tiny break. My switch from the release version to ESR seemed to go well, but my history and many of my settings and data, including my pinned tabs and extensive notes used by add-ons, were gone. I managed to reconstruct most of them, but was distressed to find that when Fx updated my ESR version those settings were again gone.

I have again restored most of the lost settings (including the one not to automatically update!) but I know I can't defer Fx updates indefinitely, and I also expect I may want to return at some point to the release version--and I desperately don't want to have to reconstruct my settings any more (or at least more than one last time). I'm not concerned about the loss of my history

Since I'm prepared to note all my settings first, starting fresh seems like a viable solution. I just need to know how (unless you can suggest a better option). I'd be happy with either the release or ESR channel.

Suddenly I can't type into the search engine bar which is mid page on my home page.

I can select it, but it stays blank and anything I type appears at top of the page in the address bar. This happens with any browser I use on my home page (have tested with Google, Duck Go Go, and a few others; same thing happens.

I'd like to get back functionality on that search engine bar mid page.

I'm operating in Windows 10, with the latest Firefox upgrade installed.

despite I have activated spell check under settings and installed two dictionaries the "language" option with the right mouse button does not exist, e.g. in this very window. What do I do wrong?

My system: WIN10 64bit, Firefox 90.0.2 (32bit)
