A folder in Bookmarks disappeared AGAIN! This is ridiculous. Every now and then Firefox loses a Bookmark folder. To make matters worse, I can waste a lot of time trying to find it and get no where. I have better things to do than trying to find lost Bookmark folders! How can I easily find the very important Bookmark folder quickly? Undo does not help.

I have a website which makes ajax requests to some endpoints which can take more than a minute (depending on how busy the server might be). In the recent version of firefox (81), it seems like after about a minute, the request appears to time out without an error message. I checked against other browsers and none seem to have the same issue.

Was this behavior expected out of version 81? I don't see anything in the release notes about this kind of change.

It's impossible to edit a URL in the new and terrible address bar. This is a problem, and just one tiny example among many, when a website shows a non English page because I am in some other country. I used to be able to change .../de/etc. to /en-us/etc. and get the correct page. Now I have to click dots, select to copy, paste into notepad, make the change and paste-and-go.

Can this completely idiotic behavior be changed? Who is this aimed at, anyway? Address bars have worked the same for decades at this point - and whilest enhancing it is fine, disabling something as basic to ALL Windows or Mac as editing is insane.

Originally when I accessed outlook it gave me a screen listing all three allowing me to choose which I wished to use. Now when i access outlook it no longer gives me this but takes me straight into henshawpress@outlook.com I now have no way of accessing the other two accounts . How do I get the screen allowing me to choose the account I want? Thanks

I am using firefox 80 version and i tried installing certificates through certutil in cert9.db but certificates are not getting installed. i tried with older version but still certificates are not installed.But when i tried installing through command prompt certificates are installed.what is the possible reason?(i am using windows 10).

I have a question about Lockwise and the integration of Monitor.

It is claimed that since version 76, Firefox alerts for vulnerable passwords and breaches.

In this article it is explained that Lockwise scans the stored passwords and warns if one of the passwords is identical to one leaked online as well as that it shows breach alerts for sites that have experienced security breaches.

I have Firefox 79, but I don't seem to get either behavior. I can see breaches for my email addresses in Monitor (where I had to manually add the email addresses). But I don't see anything in Lockwise. See the image below, for example. I created a password "abcde" for the website and nowhere does firefox tell me it's "vulnerable" or that it's been exposed elsewhere (it should at least say it's a terribly bad password).

I entered the "abcde" password in the Bitwarden plugin and it tells me (unsurprisingly) the password has been exposed "46564 times in data breaches".

This brings me to a second question: If Lockwise is unable to automatically show a warning if a password has been exposed/is vulnerable, is there an easy way to check that manually (and securely)? Bitwarden has the checkmark button right next to the password, which allows me to quickly check if a password has been exposed. Any way to replicate this in Lockwise? (To be honest, I would prefer the way it is supposed to work in Lockwise with a banner been shown automatically, instead of manually having to click, but it doesn't seem to work.)

I already upgraded my home's internet speed up to 1Gb. It included a router's change. The fact i, when i do a speed test on Firefox, it does reach only 600 Mb download speed and 100 upload. If i do the same speed test with another browser, i get 900 MB download and 100 Mb upload. So , how do i configure Firefox in order to get same values than Edge and Chrome browsers? I understand it might has to be with some parameters in about:config . Could you give me some light on this? Thanks

I'm a college student and my university uses Blackboard as a way to access our courses. Unfortunately, my Firefox has been breaking and not loading all of my courses. My university tech support is no help and they told me to contact Blackboard and Blackboard told me to use Google Chrome. I already installed Chrome so I can use it temporarily to do my coursework but I really don't want to use it permanently, I have my computer set up exactly how I like it and I prefer to use Firefox.

I think the problem started around when the September 22nd update for Firefox was automatically installed. Some things I've tried to fix the issue are: 1. Fresh install of Windows using the Razer Blade's recovery to factory default; 2. Update Windows to latest version (except the 2004 feature update, it causes my laptop to black screen on bootup); and 3. Fresh install of Firefox and changing my privacy settings to standard rather than the strict settings I usually use.

I didn't want to install an older version of Firefox because of all the warnings on the webpage, but I'm really not sure what else I can do. Has anyone else had this happen? Any fixes?

I have the option on the page openning my bank account to remember my customer number and DOB. I tick the option but it is never remembered . I suspect I have chosen an option in Firefox that causes this but I do not know which option. Barry Cross

problem is, wiht me that entry doesnt even exist, and whatever I did on my one pc just screwed up the entire firefox, all logins gone. I dont want to ahve the same to happen on my laptop, and since googleseraching this forum didnt help me at all, I decided to ask myself (picture in attachment)

Ok, thanks, finally human help! I just had to change my pc and make a fresh install of the operating system. I used Linux mint on the last pc, and have Linux MX 18.3 on the new one, currently in use. I took the precaution of copying my Firefox and Thunderbird folders from the old hard drive, as I have several years worth of bookmarks organised in to folders, irreplaceable. This was the way I had preserved that information in previous changes, and swapping the old folders with those in a new install worked fine. But now i find the new version has changed and the files differ and cannot therefore be swapped. I don't really want to get into blaming or how disappointed and annoyed I am, as this won't be the fault of the person helping, and that is appreciated. But back ups need to be backwards compatible or there is no point? So, not sure which version I had, but will have been a couple of years old with updates. In my 'etc' folder there was a Firefox folder, and in that I have a folder marked pref. In that folder there is a file named apturl.js and I have saved those folders. With my new install there is not even a folder for 'firefox' in my 'etc' folder. How do I proceed to restore my bookmarks? If I need to install and older Firefox version I will do so. Hello, this appears to be a Firefox-exclusive problem as any other browser used will fix the issues listed below. However, when I am using Firefox, the following happens:

• I am unable to like or retweet anything, and cannot follow any accounts. Attempting to do so resets them if I refresh or click off the tab.
• Notifications do not go away even when I view them
• Any tweets I have cannot be deleted
• Any info on my profile cannot be changed
• I cannot log out

I've tried multiple ways to fix this, including clearing my cache, running in Safe Mode, and removing my saved login. None of these have worked, unfortunately. I've reached out to Twitter Support, but soon realized I wouldn't hear back about specific problems at all. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?

one of my Auth cookie is deleted after new browser's tab is opened, when "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" feature is enabled. This issue is present only with one particular site so it is most likely caused by some error on that site's end. But I would like to ask if there is a chance the "Delete cookies and ..." feature can affect/delete cookies when new tab is opened (without closing Firefox browser).

System: Windows 10 32-bit laptop

Problem: non-responsive UI on one laptop only. This includes inability to configure local options. nothing works. Menus drop down, but no matter what is selected, the selection does not highlight, menu hides normally but no action is taken by the browser

If I manually type in the url it sits there. no spinning cursor, nothing.

Browser does NOT crash... It simply sits there doing nothing. All other browsers work fine.

What I have done Restart the laptop Double check Firewall permissions Ran a scan before and after installation (0 threats found) Logged in as administrator as well as user account Ran performance monitor nothing alarming noted Uninstall and Reinstall. (Problem still exists)
