Hello.
I use firefox 64 on windows 7. Why i cant delete single cookie from some site? I can delete only all cookies for some site.

So I want to archive/backup my bookmarks. I see that I can "Backup" and "Restore" to/from a json file, or I can "Export Bookmarks to HTML" and then "Import Bookmarks from HTML". Moz support suggests doing the former, though I know the latter works. Why would I do one instead of the other? FWIW, the html file I get is 8MB, while the json file is just 1MB. This seems positively screwy to have two completely separate ways of doing backups. What are these functions intended to be for? Maybe these are intended to allow porting bookmarks to/from different browsers?
I would like to open multiple sites in separate tabs when I start Firefox. How do I do that?

I recently had to reset my firefox browser, now something I have done before I can't find how to do again. I do not want to have the search result show my entire history of anything involving the word I am searching for, nor do I want to clear my history. I have already gone to about:preferences#search and unchecked provide search suggestions. I assume there is an option in about:config but I cannot find what it is. Help would be greatly appreciated.

PLEASE PLEASE make it the way it was before. I use 'ctrl-tab' and 'ctrl-shift-tab' so much and I loved it the way it was before. It was simple, bloat-free, it worked, did exactly what I wanted.
Now, it pops up some animation where it shows me the tabs and what's in them (and that only works when you first press 'ctrl-tab' btw. with 'ctrl-shift-tab' it doesn't work anymore, unless you first do 'ctrl-tab'.) And it's also slow (way slower than the old way at least). And also it doesn't just go through the tabs in the order that they're in up there.
It's such an important feature to me that I will switch to another browser if this doesn't change back and I really don't want that. PLEASE change it back I love firefox ;;(

According to the official Firefox procedure shown online, in order to remove individual cookies, go to Options-Privacy-"Cookies and Site Data", Manage Data. All cookies are listed in that screen. Select the cookie to remove then click on the "Remove" button. After all individual cookies have been selected and 'Removed', finally, click on the "Save Changes" button and exit the screen.
The problem is, NO "Save Changes" button exists on the screen in Firefox 65. And, in fact, when I exit the screen and reboot Firefox - none of my changes to the list of cookies are actually done.
How to I really manage to permanently remove specific cookies ??

Pocket was OK for a while, but about a week or so ago it started taking the URL whenever I clicked on Bookmarks in the Firefox menu (on a Mac running 10.12.6). I keep my bookmarks organized in a folder structure, so this makes me go back to the Bookmarks menu and choose Edit This Bookmark. I changed the value given in the instructions to disable it to FALSE as instructed, and restarted Firefox just in case. BUT it still acts the same way, grabbing the Bookmarks. I don't WANT Pocket. If anyone can tell me how to get it to stop working I would really appreciate it. Thank you for any help.

I like to save maximum vertical space in my firefox due to 16/9 screens, to maximise content space. Most of the time, I use left-hand containers (in 16/9 horizontal space is rarely completely occupied) like the Tree-style tabs add-on (very good one, saved me from abandonning firefox when XUL was dropped) to manage my tabs and bookmarks.
In Firefox <65.0, a good trick was to use userChrome.css with a #TabsToolbar {visibility: collapse;} instruction. In Firefox 65.0, this still works but it makes the windows action buttons (minimise, reduce and close) disappear (not the case before).
How do you propose to unlink these button from the vertical-default tabs bar ? NB: they are still displayed when pressing the Alt key, but I'd like to have them permanently. NB: did try safe mode but it seems it doesn't take the userChrome.css as input, rendering the test inneficient

now why is it that my browsing history with esr can be used or seen with 66 profile?
Hey guys I am new here and i was wondering How does a master password work? I look forward to hearing from you guys Thanks Gabe.
Lost all my tabs in an update. Now the new tab isn't next to the current tab. No + next to it. How can I restore to how it was?

When i try to use Page Up or Page Down, or Cursor Arrow Keys on the keyboard, a webpage may go from top to bottom for example! When then attempting to page up, it goes up 1 page and then back down to bottom of page.
To compound the annoying problem, there is no Down Arrow at bottom of scroll bar. So we have to click and drag the scroll bar up and down to view a webpage. This is not normal behavior and we can't figure it out. It could be a setting we need to correct, but we don't know which one it is. (see comments below on requesting the PDF printout of FireFox settings)
Could someone please help us ... and perhaps it can help others as well. We could not find such a problem amung your "help topics".
Thank You!

When I try to use the find bar, it shows up black and won't search for text. It doesn't even say "phrase not found." I tried searching for words I knew were in the webpage and that I could see and it still wouldn't work. The quick search bar does the same. I tried restarting with add-ons disabled and nothing happened. I'm kind of at a loss at what to do.
Here's an image of the find bar if that helps any.
When I close the final tab, I do not want Firefox to shut down. I'd like the FireFox Home (default) tab to show instead.

My hand jerked as I clicked on a folder in the bookmarks menu. The folder disappeared. I looked in all other folders and searched for bookmarked websites in the folder. They were listed in show all bookmarks. I opened some and clicked on the "edit this website" and it showed they were still in that folder. But I can't find the folder. In Show All Bookmarks it doesn't show the location of listed bookmarks. Help.
Sometimes when I click on tab to make it active tab firefox move that tab into new window. FF 66.0.1 on W10

Firefox 67 is suppose to block fingerprinting when activated in the security/privacy settings. Well, try this french site : https://amiunique.org and see what can be read from your system and browser. I'm wondering how can it be possible to block fingerprinting other than giving false/random/generic data and be like everyone, not unique...

It's getting more and more complicated for us "oldies". We're not adolescent typists on a so-called smart phone - and we're going to suffer when Kiwibank ditches cheques and we have to learn all the ins and outs of on line banking. We were brought up in the days of times tables - pocket calculators weren't invented then. But it's overwhelming when we get all these instructions on setting up for the likes of "private" and "non-private" browsing, and the myriad of "apps" and "extensions" and whatever. If Microsoft Windows and Browsers of this day and age require a degree in how to use them, then I'll see if I can find a guru who can install Linux and a real simple Seniors Browser. Not one that sends you a host of emails on "useful hints" and "Things to do in Europe" if you happen to book and on-line ticket to see your grandchildren in Switzerland. Us 80's plus need something simple and safe to use. Forget all the gadgets. Can you re-shoe a horse - or tether one to a single furrow plough?
