running xp (sp3). i downloaded the app from macafee. this is NOT the LIVE version it is the free version. It worked fine last night and this afternoon.

i'm also having trouble with AVG toolbar. it is not showing a "Page Status"

My website, www.trailstealth.com does not load completely on the new version of firefox, but works fine on the older version, which makes me believe it is a firefox problem and not mine. BTW, I have already tried clearing the cache, etc.

Setting up new computer. I would like to build the system software before connecting to the internet, so I need to have whatever I'm installing already 'here'. I'm currently running FF 3.6.18 (WinXP) Home and will be running 5.x on the new system (Win7 Pro).

Is this possible?

To expand on what the question is, Every time I try to open a new tab, it just doesn't work. New tabs only open when I click a link that also opens the page in that link in a new tab. Even when I try to do the same thing through the file menu and Ctrl+T. Otherwise, Firefox is running normally. Yesterday, I downloaded a program called "FLV player" that I knew came with an ask.com toolbar but for some reason, switched ask.com to the homepage for Firefox. After that, I switched the homepage for Firefox back to its default page.

All of a sudden there is a section on the left side of my Firefox online screen that has:

           Search:  [?]  [View ]

+ Yesterday + Last 7 days

I don't know how it got there, I've tried disabling plug-ins, personalizing tool bar, etc., and can't get rid of it. If I place my cursor on the line that separates this section from the regular Firefox screen, an arrow appears as if I could drag the right part of the screen to the left and "cover up" this search section, but the drag won't work.

I inadvertently downloaded yahoo toolbar, which I managed to uninstall, but now whenever I open a new tab, the default screen is yahoo instead of blank. How can I make the tabs be blank again when I open them? Thanks for your help.

Since several weeks i have a problem with Fire Fox. It's not possible to open a new tab with + . I saw that ther's another person having the same problem, but i couldn't read the solution. Is there a solution yet, at my desktop i don't have this problem.

Very infrequently it will allow the page to open but 90% of the time I get the error message. It also happens if I click on a link to a yahoo news story from another web site. I had tried Firefox 4, but it was giving me all kinds of errors so I reverted back to 3.6

When I click on the plus sign to get a new tab it is not responding so I have to open up an entire new mozilla window if I want to look at mulitple websites at a time. I have restarted my computer several times and this has not helped. I would appreciate any advice anyone has and I would prefer to work with one browser open and have access to multiple tabs. Also, if I click a link on a website that will open a new tab but I cannot not open one by clicking the plus sign or the clicking new tab on the drop down menu.

Until 8/8/11 I could go up to the menu bar open FILE and click on "new tab" and I would get a new tab to work with. Since yesterday this function is no longer working. What should I do?

this problem is not duplicated when viewing same page in Internet Explorer8.0.6xxx.

This was most recent website visited and when it automatically redirected to the next video in line, it froze the mouse. I tried to launch the task manager at which point it locked out the keyboard.

(This PC is a Dell Precision T3500 w/ 6G of RAM running WinXP Pro x64, there is no rationale for this kind of incompetence.)

This happens WAY TOO OFTEN, like more than 50% of visits to video oriented sites like youtube etc

Certain websites use a script to prevent pasting from the clipboard into a text box. Neither cntl-v nor the context menu work. Using Noscript prevents some sites from working.

eg using the page given I cannot paste an email address and login.

Does any one know a workaround?

The only Firefox windows that work correctly are the first window I open (which has tabs saved) and the window that opens when I go into tools> options> help, any other new Firefox window I open wont let me open a new tab or window from the page I am on (I can still open new tabs with the bookmarks or new tab button), I can't use the back page/forward page/refresh page/stop loading page buttons and the page I am on doesn't show in the address bar.

Hi, I am being told by a website that mFirefox is out of date so I can't get all the features. I keep downloading an update but it still keeps happening. Could you please help me. thanks.

I purchased a music download from CD Baby, but nothing happens when I click the download button they sent me. What can I do about this? Is there a problem in my browser settings?

For example, I don't want my email or my credit card number to show up when I begin typing info for those numbers. How do I stop the auto-fill function or turn it off--it seems like this security issue.

i have 3.6.18. i check for updates and it says none available. yet I see a 3.6.19 version available. i don't want to download that and do a reinstall, I just want to update 3.6.18. how do I do that? thank you.

I am still haveing problems with my homepage it changes every time I restart my PC it comes up with http://search.jzip.com/ this is the only option that it selects and there are a number of optionsto choose from it is an unwanted option how can I delete this and stop it from becoming an option it is situated on the navigator tool bar hope you can sort this out for me.
