I am still unable to change the volume in YouTube by the volume control keys on my keyboard, with the current version of the Adobe Flash plugin (11,6,602,168). Don't want to use HTML5 version of YouTube, as it is still causing troubles. Neither I want to get back to Flash 10.3 or so. Does not occur with IE5 or other browsers. Any way to solve this?

All of the sudden pdfs will not open in Firefox using Acrobat. Every pdf I try uses the built-in firefox pdf viewer. I've checked the add-ons and Acrobat 11.02 is present. I tried reinstalling it, which didn't work. I've also double checked under the application options that pdfs are set to display using acrobat.

I had to register a new help account just to get here.

Your broser has been fucking up like crazy since the last update. I have been having nothing but problems logging into multiple sites. Sites would log me out randomly, then I wouldn';t be able to log back in. I tried to make an account on a new site and had to try 11 damn times before it went through. and just now, when I tried to ask a troubleshooting question, my username and password wouldn't work. So I sent a password reset request. Nothing happened. I sent at least FIVE password reset requests. None of them has gone through. When I tried to enter a different username, thinking maybe that was the problem, as soon as I re-typed it and clicked anywhere outside the name space, it'd revert to the name that was previously there. What the hell!?

I haven't even gotten to the problem I originally wanted to contact you about!

The downloads window no longer works. I download a file, I click on 'Downloads' to see how long it'll be, I see nothing. Plain, blank white. And yes, I know some files download so quickly they're gone before I can open the window. I'm talking about large several-megabyte videos and disk images. No indication that they're downloading at all.

All this has happened since 19.0 installed. Do I have to disable updates from now on to keep the browser working properly!?

I have Windows 7 32bit, Firefox 19.0 When I click to go to another page, sometimes the current page will shift upwards a little, revealing the same page underneath. After a short while, the current page will shift back down, and then goes to the new page and completes downloading.

Until today, when I hovered my cursor over a link, a preview of the link's URL would appear on the lower left of my screen, above the Start button (I use Windows Vista). Currently when I hover over a link, no preview appears, so I don't know the web address of where I'm going when I click on the link. I thought that maybe this was due to updating to Firefox 19.0, but my friends who have also updated say that they can still see the URL preview. Did I somehow turn off the URL preview by accident? If so, how can I turn it back on? If not, why is it gone?

Firefox 19.0 does not remember previous settings, like tab settings, homepage, remember history settings and etc. On machine boot up I have to reset Firefox 19.0 every time. I tried to back off to version 17 but it auto updated to 19.0. This only happens only when machine is booted. It's very annoying.

It also loses some of the addons, like personas. I have tried resetting firefox and deleting the prefs.js. There are none of the other files mentioned in the article about how to fix firefox not saving settings. Every new day it starts up with the Welcome to Firefox and Mozilla Firefox Start Page instead of my homepage EVEN after I've set up my homepage and it remembers it.

Once I have saved the settings they are remembered for the rest of that day, but when I wake up the next day, POOF!, firefox forgets what I did. I does remember stuff like my bookmarks, history, and pinned tabs, but it doesn't remember my privacy settings for it not to suggest things in the address bar from my history and bookmarks.

As of the time of this message, I have not redone my settings so the troubleshooting information is from the state firefox is in when I first open it of a morning. What the heck is going on?

After Firefox updated to version 19, when I tried to view a pdf file, the file appeared in a strange new viewer. Seemed to work OK, but I was concerned (didn't know that it is apparently a new feature of FF 19), and wanted the Adobe viewer back.

After a few minutes of viewing in the FF pdf viewer, a message appeared that said something like-- This viewer may not be displaying the document correctly. Would you like to use Adobe Acrobat instead?-- I clicked yes.

Now, when I click a link for a pdf file, it will either open automatically in Adobe Acrobat (windows application, not viewer within FF), or I'll get a dialog that asks whether I want to save the file or use Adobe Acrobat to open it.

Delete the pluginreg.dat file

repair of Adobe Acrobat

If I start IE and click a pdf link within IE, I can view a PDF file within IE, but who wants IE?

Da ich der englischen Sprache nicht gerade sehr mächtig bin und bis Firefox 18.0.0 stets alle Tabs, Befehle, Dropdowns u.a. auf Deutsch vorhanden waren, ist dies sehr ärgerlich. Ich dachte zunächst, dass es sich nur um einen Fehler dieses speziellen Updates handeln würde, doch mit dem neuesten Update 19.0.0 hat sich an den englischsprachigen Einstellungen nichts geändert.

Wie also kann ich Firefox wieder auf Deutsch umstellen, ohne es komplett neu installieren zu müssen??

Firefox would always advise me when there is going to be an update, and ask if I wanted to accept an add-on or toolbar included with the update. Now it appears that it is automatically updating and including the toolbars and add-ons without asking me. How do I change the settings so I can stop that?

What happened? The option to right click a page and send the link has vanished. I used it regularly and so do other people I know. Why is it gone? How do I get it back?

When I click the Bookmark this page button (the star) on an already existing bookmark everything shows normally except the Remove Bookmark Button, it's just a blank box.

Hi there, i have a problem with an unwanted website opening every time when i press new tab. The following is the url of the site.

Few days back i've installed a program in the system named torn tv and from there every time i open my browser i see this web site opening. I've un-installed the program but couldn't delete this search engine.

I tried deleting this search engine in the following ways: 1. Deleted from control panel via un-install a program 2. via extension 3. via manage search engine.

But still the problem exists. Please do help me.

Firefox has been constantly crashing. I've tried reinstalling and disabling addons. The crashes appear to be random and are not triggered my any particular action or length of time.

I used to be able to click on an image and instantly search for a larger version, now I have to scroll through page after page to get to a larger version,

And what is with that blacked background it has made something that was so easy monotonous and drawn out,

I am also unable to find and download an older version as I am unable to use this because of the amount of frustration it is causing,

I used to install firefox on every PC I work on but I wouldn't recommend it in this state to anyone alive or dead,

If it isn't broke don't fix it tweak it but don't wreck it,

By the way,,, my computer windows screen resolution is set to 1920X1080 to get the best high resolution.

I tried putting them in another file and then removing them. Didn't work. I tried dragging them anywhere I could including the search bar and the recycle bin to see if that would get them off my bookmarks list and to see whether I could remove or delete them from those places. Nothing worked. How can I get them off?
