I noticed that when Firefox loads pages without any styling e.g., my professor's home page shown in the screenshot, it displays the text incorrectly. At the top of the screenshot, you can see 'Dbobeb' which is actually supposed to be shown as 'Canada'. The problem is very common -- I ran into the same issue on Mozilla's web docs as shown in the second screenshot. It displayed 'One' as 'Pof', 'Two' as 'Uxp' and so on. This has been happening for a couple of months now and it is starting to bother me. I have already tried removing all my extensions / running Firefox on private mode -- it does not resolve the issue. This issue does not occur on other browsers.

I've been with yellow folders for several years. In the version that I have now, version 111, no longer works. I do not know because it doesn't work now. Maybe version 111 no longer admits it? Do you know how to put the yellow folders?

It works on librewolf and brave, and im running on fedora 37 (using the flatpak package) i have tried every fix including but not limited to: reinstalling, troubleshoot mode, making a new profile and clearing cache. also the openh264 plugin always says preparing to install or smth but never does, thought id mention it in case its important.

I've logged in on a brand new installation of macOS (Ventura), but it does not sync my logins, passwords, etc. The settings for the sync are also enabled and it works fine on Windows and Linux. Also tried rebooting, but no luck so far.

Is there a way to fully edit a .pdf file in the new Firefox browser? I know how to annotate, but I don't see any way to copy and/or paste. This originally came up when I wanted to copy one sentence from of an entire document. Thank you.

Hello. I un-installed Microsoft Edge and Office 365 and now Firefox has stopped working (on another computer not this one).

This is the same problem that someone reported in 2021, but that thread has been archived.

The advice then was to re-install Firefox and to download Visual C++ \ Visual Studio files ( especially VCRuntime1401.dll).

My problem is that I don't have a browser on that computer, I am completely cut off from the internet and can't download anything.

Is it possible to download the necessary files on this computer and transfer them to the one that has the problem? Thanks.

Hi. I was suddenly having unexpected problems to log in in a site (https://www.lanacion.com.ar/). So I updated FF but the problem persists. Then, I uninstalled FF, downloaded it again from the repository and installed again, but the problem persists. Then, I downloaded directly rom the Mozilla site, expand it in the desktop and double click the program icon. The program opened and I was able to log into the site I was trying to. Interesting enough, the browser opens a lot faster than when installed. My question is: everywhere on the web the response is "you have to install the program" or "the program is already installed in your distro", which is true in my case, but one day stopped to work properly. BUT I'm not installing it, and it works apparently well... ¿how can it be? Thanks in advance for your reply. -Enrique.

I mainly bookmark pages by clicking and dragging the URL to my bookmarks sidebar as I've always found this to be more convenient. After the last two Firefox updates, this method no longer saves the page title, just the page URL.

In the attached image, the URL and resulting bookmark from dragging it to the sidebar are circled in red. The expected title is circled in orange. An example of an older (correctly titled) bookmark is circled in green. This is not a page specific issue, as it happens on every webpage.

CTRL+D as well as pressing the star icon in the navigation bar still work as expected, bookmarking pages with their correct titles.

Recenltly bought new laptop and installed a new version of firefox, but now I cannot get it to show my extensions.

The screen shot shows what (IMO) is supposed to to be, but all I get is the default buttons for firefox 2nd picture

Hi, I disabled several options in About:Config, and a feature previously disappeared. When I pressed the scroll button in the diamond, it opened a tag and moved to it automatically. Whatever you do with the current tag, I want it. Please help me. ( I mean, it no longer applies to bookmarks, I want it to apply to bookmarks )

Beginning with 111 when I start I get 'glxtest: failed to read data from glxtest, we may fall back to software rendering.' It works. I don't know that anything bad is happening.

I've used the Last Pass application with Firefox for years but recently Last Pass isn't auto-filling anymore. It auto-fills fine with other browsers but has stopped with Firefox within the last week or so. Any help would be appreciated.

WTF?! You guys do not even have a technical support category?!?!??!

The latest update has broken ebay.com.au. It works fine in private mode. It WILL NOT WORK in troubleshooting mode. Works fine in other browsers on the same Windows 10 PC. Ive also tried disabling addons and extensions, and even Pocket, as well as browsing protection (the shield icon). It just sits there saying "transferring data from ".... the next bit varies, but usually says ebay.com.au, or sometimes a different page, but it NEVER COMPLETES.

I get that it might have trouble with unusual code, but WTF is with firefox not working with EBAY?!

Firefox said I can edit PDFs now when I updated the browser, but all I get are annotation options. Is that really it? Annotation only (you know, like writing the the margins of a book)? Or can we actually edit (like, changing the text in a book), and if so, where are the tools?

IF I CANNOT GET BACK INTO MY FIREFOX AND/OR GOOGLE ACCOUNT I CANNOT GET MY EMAILS TO SYNC. How does someone get ACCOUNT HELP? I'll pay for the blasted help if just to get my emails out of FIREFOX? Such BAD customer service -- oh yeah, we aren't CUSTOMERS cause Firefox is FREE. Right now that is EXACTLY WHAT FIREFOX and MOZILLA are worth -- NOTHING, NADA, ZERO, TRASH! For the past few months I've been starting to have some trouble with other sites that I go onto. For example, on Google if I try to search something that has 'a' in it, it ignores the rest of my query and searches up everything leading up to the A. Even just pressing A it's almost like it's acting as a mouse-click, but this problem only seems to be occurring on Firefox, nothing else.

What's going on?

I use a PIN for my Microsoft laptop and I have forgotten my Microsoft account password. I don't want to change the password as my PC back-ups using Paragon software "might" be tied to my current pin and password.

If I log into my Microsoft account with Firefox, I am prompted for an email address. After entering my address the password is automatically entered by Firefox. Great.

But the login details are not stored under Firefox - Paswords. There is no Microsoft entry in Passwords.

Where might the password it be stored?
