Any word on stopping floating videos yet ? Nothing I have ever tried or posted about here works. Ya'll have had enough time to solve that -- what's the scoop ?

I was checking my EMAIL the same way I always do: open new tab, click the Gmail button on the new tab. Well once it opened, I then opened my second GMAIL account, and noticed that the two were different. Which forced me to check the URL of my main account and I noticed that they were different. "?zx=s0wp4i3jcokr" was sandwhiched between the number zero and the word "inbox" in the URL. Was I spoofed, and if so, what course of action should I take?

Prior to noticing the strange URL my key had been malfunctioning intermittently. Went into inspector to check code, and every word was just random letters. Is this related?

For the last month the amount of letters/numbers/symbols in my address bar has slowly become less. It only happens when I have more than 1 tab &/or window open. It is now at the point where I'll have no more than a dozen characters in the address bar down to absolutely nothing being displayed there. I had HP do a wipe of my HDD & reinstall of the entire MS OS a month ago. I noticed the issue a few days after that but it was also after the first of 2 FF updates. Sometimes it has bugs but usually the next update fixes it completely; but not this time. I'm not sure if it Is a FF issue. I have checked all thru here and even scrubbed thru MS Win10 support pages and found nothing anywhere similar. Attached is a current screenshot. As you can see, there are only 4 characters in this header while 2 others have None and one has 11 +, 4 numbers and 6 random letters. This has me totally baffled.

My problem is: Many times my bookmark subfolders just disappear.

If I do a search for a link in any of the lost folders at the top, find the link and select "open folder", the lost folders re-appear.

I imagine the folders are linked lists.

I wonder if the brower refresh or not refreshing is the issue. A display problem. Since they reappear, they are still there in memory. I doubt if they been written to the harddrive.

It is very frustrating. As I've read many others having similar issues, I think it merits attention.

Let them know to search for the link and open it in it's folder to reestablish the display. This IS NOT THE ANSWER ... but it is a work around.

I've systematically tried to troubleshoot it, but have found no clue for predicting when it will happen.

I was a programmer/analyst for decades. I imagine trying to keep firefox working is a real challenge.

In the past few week I have started having problem playing certain YouTube videos (I see no real pattern except certain channels seem to be more likely to fail than others) in a normal browser window, the video will stop at the spinning circle. It works if I try in an incognito window (with all the same extensions active) or another browser. I have noticed the problem on a Linux Mint laptop as well as on a macbook. On the Linux laptop I tried replacing the built in Firefox with the one from the the Mozilla homepage with no improvement. If I clear history in Firefox it seems to work once or twice and then the problem reappears. I also tried disabling hardware acceleration but no dice. There does not seem to be any difference whether I am logged in to my YouTube account or not. I have even tried reinstalling the computer but the problem does not disappear.

a few weeks ago, I had to synchronize my firefox from the PC of a friend in order to access my bookmarks. His profile was a local one (w/o synchronization). My friend now needs to access several of his own bookmarks and passwords. I wanted to revert to the previous profile but cannot find a way to perform this. Could you please explain me the way to perform this without loosing the information of his profile?

I am unable to use the Google Reverse Image website via Firefox. It will not allow me to upload the image to the site. I have no problem when accessing the site via Microsoft Edge.

Since abt 2-3 days ago Firefox won't load my centurylink email. All OK until after I log in to centurylink and get the usual "loading" gray window. But then that window flashes quickly and that's it! I tried refreshing Firefox but did not help! No problem using Google chrome or even with longtime Firefox on my laptop. I have used Firefox for more than 10 years for all browsing and this is first time of serious problem! Tony

Yes, I know I am old now, but......the last advice I received from Firefox sent the computer into a spin, the fonts changed to very large, I lost all my games (which now are very tiny) when I can access them, the fonts are huge...... not sure when it landed in/on the computer, roughly about 3 weeks, as I was unwell at the time......Hubby is very reluctant to get someone in, people I have access to seem to know nothing about Firefox. I have always used Firefox from day one. I am a bad sleeper, so tend to do my games overnight, while listening to the radio......I have always relied on you lovely people to fix me up, I am sort of lost without my computer. I realise I am probably sounding a bit silly now, (I will be 80 next month).....groan...so sorry...I hope you can help me soon, going bonkers without the games etc. Thanks so much.....Sylvia Liney...

I recently changed my RAM clock speed to 3600mhz and the crashing started. When it was set to 2400mhz it was working fine.

I cannot view videos on Teachable anymore. I used to be able to on Firefox. I have updated to the most recent version. I don't know why this is happening, and I use Firefox as my default browser so I would really like to be able to continue using it when I want to access courses on Teachable. The videos load for me on Chrome, so I know it has to be something with the browser.

Before COVID, I would travel about once a year. I would just copy the profile from my office email machine to my laptop, set the desktop computer to stop downloading emails (the laptop was always set to leave them on the server), and go traveling. When I returned and turned my regular email machine back on, turn the "leave on server" off, and download all the emails to it.

The COVID break from traveling meant that some file formats had changed. When I tried to load the v78 profile from my desktop to v68 on the laptop, I got a lot of errors, and went on to do other chores. Now I've come back to this issue and decided to just load v 102 to my laptop. I want to be able to load all those emails and the address book. Does v 102 read earlier versions of files, and which ones? I have a large volume of emails that I want to load, review, and then archive about 99% of them. I really need to retrieve the address books, get rid of duplicates and dead addresses, and then save about 85% of them a vcards before deleting them from the address book.

It would really help to have a list of the files that changed with each version, so that we can see what files we need to look for.

I'm hoping that 102 will convert all previous formats, and if not, I can have a list so I can migrate these v 68 files to 102 when it imports them.

Hello, i was using firefox i nthe czech language and ewrything was working fine, but then an update came and now the browser is unable to read czech pages (as in the image below). Do you have any ideas how to fix it? I have tried messing with the setting multiple times, but was never able to make it work. Thanks for your response, Radim Kolář

Is there any password bridges from Firefox cloud data about the saved password in Firefox?
