I finally got the search field and the address field on the same line. However, the search field is on the left and I would like it on the right. When I "customize toolbar" and manually switch the fields, it does not seem to reverse them subsequently (after I enter "Done").

What am I missing here?

Exported passwords as csv from Firefox from an ailing machine. Imported into browser on new pc and find two sites reject my logins (Outlook & Duolingo). No issues with any other logins. Same logins still working on the old pc. What gives?

I continue to have issues with web site appearance. Whether I select "automatic" or off for "contrast control" previously visited links are turned purple. If I try "custom"’ for ‘Firefox’ nothing else seems to stay like I need it to be. I do not have this issue when I use Chrome.

I wrote about 15 mins ago. Just wanted to add that when I go to profiles and try to delete others, clicking delete takes me to a firef. standard home page (sans bookmarks) and nothing about the 3 flowers/finalizing the deletion!?

I am also concerned about this flower icon, on my mac dock...can't tell if that flower is an abnormality that it thinks my "orignal profile" is not the profile of main use. This isn't just aesthetics: it seems to be telling me if I delete the other profiles, it won't stop that freakin flower icon from KEEPING MY COMPUTER/F.FOX FROM SHUTTIGI DOWN?

All I know is, everytime I go back to manage profiles and open ancillary ones (e.g test 2, Mac 15 Air, etc) I end up with more firefox icons on the right side of my dock!

I recently tried to use a DVD and online installation for a Microsoft Office product from a seller who seemed rather sketchy. I couldn't get these products to work so found a different seller and the installation was fine. Now every morning, when i turn on my computer, the Firebox browser has been removed, and i have to re-install all over again. How can i stop it from being removed without my permission?

I've been using Firefox since forever but over the last couple of months, the auto translate subtitles (to English) hasn't been working when watching Youtube videos. There's a thread on the Youtube support site with nearly 40,000 posts of people with the same issue and tonight I was trying to watch a video where the hosts talk in Italian, so I use auto translate to English subtitles but no subtitles appear. It will show Italian language subtitles.

I've gone back through this Youtube channel's history trying videos I've previously watched from months/years ago when auto translate used to work but even they're not working now.

I decided to try the video in Edge browser and to my surprise the auto translate to English worked there. They also work in Chrome.

So what could be causing this issue on Firefox, which started about August time?

This is quite bizarre as I assumed all the processing/translation was done by Google/Youtube so in what way can Firefox be part of this issue?

To be clear, subtitles in the (foreign) language the people are speaking, works. Subtitles translated from that language to English (or other languages) has stopped working. Subtitles translated from that language to English IS working on Edge and Chrome browser.

I made one, but it was then as now inte f.frfering further (white flower icon, having two operating f.f P or more operating at same time-stp[[omg my mac from sleeping, interfereing other ways. WHEN I TRY EITHER ONE OF THE OTHER PROFILES, IT JUST OPENS THE MAIN FF. PAGE WITH A BLANK SCREEN, NO BOOKMARKS/TOOLBAR...AND DIALOG BOX TO IMPORT P/W'S HOW DO I DELETE ANY PROFILE IF THIS SECLECTED METHOD IS FAILED? WORSE, UNDER THE PROFILE I TYPE HERE WITH, IT HAS BOTH ITS NAME, AND THAT DAMN FLOWER ICON BELOW IT WITH "ORIGINAL PROFILE". DOES THAT MEAN IT THINKS MY IDENTITY IS BORROWED FROM SOM OTHER IDENTITY? Once again I have experienced that my Bookmarks disappeared. Some months ago, I had a HTML backup made, for easy Import. Now I started out by shutting down Firefox, followed by a restart. That worked last time (without import) This time it did no change. I shut down Firefox, and restarted the PC....... no change. (without import) Then I shut down Firefox and restarted the PC. Opened Firefox, and wanted to import the Bookmarks from the HTML file. The system comes up with a message stating that the file does not contain any bookmark references. ( Opening the HTML file using Firefox, reveals that all bookmarks are there, and can be used ) I uninstall Firefox, and re-install it . Flw. I try the import once again, using the HTML file...... to no avail. What am I missing here ?? My final option appears to be moving the bookmark one by one.. rather time consuming.

Firefox cannot be controlled using shortcuts such as H-headlines, E-input fields, B-button, insert+F7-link list, and insert+F6-heading list.
