I'd like to create a new user, and install firefox for that user completely separate in all respects from the existing user's installation, so that there is no interaction at all between the two installations, with separate copies of the program files as well as separate Firefox profiles.

Requirements: Mac OS X 10.6 - check - 10.6.8 Macintosh computer with an Intel x86 processor - check - 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 512 MB of RAM - check - 2 Gb 200 MB hard drive space - check - 130.81Gb free

Is there some kind of hidden requirement I don't know about?

Every since I downloaded Firefox, I cannot view video clips on a webpage, they have to be downloaded to Firefox downloads and then viewed on Real player. This is very inconvenient. How do I go back to the way it used to be prior to downloading Firefox?

running Firefox 17.0.1 on my SuSE Linux 11.2 works fine.

As I updated to Firefox 18.0 in Windows, I also downloaded the US-english version for Linux (firefox-18.0.tar.bz2) and unpacked it. The big disappointment: IT DOES NOT WORK!

XPCOMGlueLoad error for file /root/test/firefox/libxpcom.so: libxul.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Couldn't load XPCOM.

I removed the installation, restarted the system, installed again. No change. I tried the German package - the same problem.

What am I doing wrong? Is this a known issue? Any remedy?

I am running IE 9. I hjave downloaded Firefox. When I attempt to import MY Favorites I get only a partial imort. I have tried several times and have read your instructions but still without acheiving success. I would like to use Firefox but I do not want to go through the tedios operation of opening and saving one at a time

I have an old XP machine and have just built a brand new windows 7 machine. I need to move my history information over to the new PC. I have found the instructions for moving my bookmarks, but not for moving my browsing history. I rely on my history for finding quite a few of the sites I visit regularly rather than cluttering up my system with more bookmarks and icons.

How do I save my history and get it onto my new machine. I have and external HD and cds I can use for this.

i have tried numerous time to download update version. Get to the point BEFORE i am prompted to drag icon to Application or dock...it dstops, says I cannot :replace "old version because MOzillo is in use! Thanks

Hi all, I have Firefox 18.0.1 installed in Windows 7 system. It was working fine. Yesterday when I have upgraded my OS to Windows 8 pro. Firefox stop working :(. If I try to enter the link in the address bar , there will be refresh and the page will not be loaded and also in Toolbar get resetted also. I tried to uninstall/install firefox. Also Uninstall Mcafee . Also allowed the firefox in the firewall setting. But no success . Please help me if I have missing or need something to make it work.

Initially IE 10 was also not working in Desktop mode and it was working with metro UI IE. Finally found one fix to enable: Enable Enhanced Protection Mode

It's difficult to browse without Firefox.

I down loaded the firefox program. it opens correctly to the search page. when I try to browse the internet after typing in my search, the next screen that comes up says unable to connect to the internet. I can browse using windows explorer with no problems so I know I have an internet connection. I made sure the fire wall will allow the fire fox program. At this point I am at a lost. If it matters I am running the new windows 8 64 bit. If anyone has any suggestion please let me know.

I just downloaded Firefox 18.0.1 and can no longer compose, forward or reply to email messages in Yahoo! Mail. Yet, full functionality remains while using Google Chrome and Internet Explorer 8.

I need to un block a dl from BCBS that has my EOB. I am having the same trouble on Chase on Adobe statement Dls. How do you unblock. I can dl on IE. Bill in Texas
