My Antivirus (Bitdefender) did a full system scan and found a Trojan hidden in one of Firefox's files.

Trojan description: JS:Trojan.Cryxos.6249

Location: firefox/profiles../cache2/entries..

It was automatically deleted. No idea for how long its been there. could it have have done some damage unknown to my Antivirus ? How dangerous is it? Are there any further steps to take ?

Recently I have been seeing, what I believe is character encoding errors on many web sites.

As you can see from the attached, it appears as a series of 'ddddddddddd' but if I copy and paste that into Word or a text editor it appears correctly. Kinda random, some sites, some areas.

My Firefox automatically updates, so I do not know what version this started.

i've turned off spellcheck in the normal firefox preferences, I have these values set for about:config spellcheck related things, and no matter what I do, I simply cannot figure out how to get rid of the underlining. does anyone have any solutions? layout.spellcheckDefault 0 services.sync.prefs.sync.layout.spellcheckDefault false services.sync.prefs.sync.spellchecker.dictionary true ui.SpellCheckerUnderlineStyle 0

As the subject says, i don't wish to use the address bar to search i wish to use the bar in the middle of the screen like it used to be, this would be much easier for me with my visual impairment, can anyone advise please?

I use win10 and i have no plugins as far as i know for Firefox

I remember seeing somewhere that -moz-box-ordinal-group does not keep assigned values in userChrome if the value is changed after being set the first time. This certainly seems to be the case -

With the following I had temporarily set the value to '1' but then set it back to '2' - it no longer works.

Am I missing something?

After the most recent update, currently on 92.0, the Minimize, Maximize, and Close buttons are invisible. They are still there and I can get the tool-tip if I hover over them with the mouse, but visually they are completely gone.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Sorry, I wasn't sure which topic this question fell under. I created my Firefox account in 2017 and have forgotten my Password. However, since creating my account in 2017, I've NEVER SIGNED OUT. Until I hopefully remember my password, I don't plan too.

Question - If I am signed into my Firefox account, as I have been since 2017, and get to a point (when updating or changing my settings, add-ons, etc) where it asks me to re-enter my Password, is there a set number of password sign in attempts before it locks me out? And, if it locks me out after so many incorrect attempts, does it also sign me out of Firefox as well OR do I stay signed in? Hopefully I explained my question.

I really don't want to lose my data with Password reset, so I'm trying find ways help me recall my correct Password. Thanks for any info. Kurt

Hello, i am a professional blogger. i am making lot of website on google chrome but it performance is slow. so I decided to change my browser because my synogut product is not performance well and I don't know that the Mozilla is integrated or support the WordPress site or not.

Hi I type in amazon.smile.com/ and get redirected to https://chat.poo..com/?images=off&name=smile, If I use google search to get to it no issue. I have used MS browser and get there no issue. I have emptied all of my cookies and ran a scan with bit defender still nothing.

If you have a suggestion to correct this it would be great.

Latest Firefox This HTML sequence contains two IDENTICAL unordered lists, YET the displays are different. As you can see, the 1st display list is double spaced and the 2nd display list is single spaced. Why?

Since a recent update, Firefox no longer has a "Home" button to the left of the address bar. How do I get it back? I am using Mozilla Firefox 92.0.1 in Windows 10. Thank you for your assistance.  :-)

My preference for language is Dutch, and for years I had Firefox in Dutch. Now suddenly the tabs and the menus all changed to English. When I try to open many, not all webpages, they don't load but flash very quickly repeatedly. I have used firefox for years and have never seen this before and these are all pages that previously worked fine

when I'm on Yahoo and open a site to read that contains pictures the main picture at the top of the story will open ,but down the screen as you read other pictures will appear but won't load ,they show as gray boxes . Is there a setting I need to change to correct this ?

I tried to register at link text and when I entered my email addy it told me that email address is already in use. I tried my secondary email addy and was told same thing. I don't remember username and for that matter, don't remember a previous registration. So how can I contact admin at site or who do I contact to resolve issue or what do I so now?
