I'm using firefox in ubuntu. A couple of minutes ago Firefox crashed. I restarted to a completely new Firefox. All my tabs, extensions, saved passwords, etc. were gone. This happened to me a few weeks ago. That time I found a solution: find a back-up of the old profile and manually restore it. I tried to reproduce that solution this time, only to find that there are no back-ups at all of my previous session. Is there a solution to this problem?

I retired an older desktop unit several months ago and am no longer able to access the bookmarks associated with my account. My profile information now says account disconnected, followed by my email address. Below that the words Profile 1 appear. The menu below is the regular menu for actions on Firefox but none of the bookmarks from the original computer appear. Is there some way to access them?

A VPN was up in the tip right hand corner appeared that I had never seen before. I have no idea how my original homepage disappeared and all my bookmarks with it.

Following today's update of your browser, I discovered that all passwords stored in my account have been deleted. As I strictly depend on this account and the stored credentials for my daily work, this loss of data constitutes a significant disruption.

My previous attempts to recover the data via standard recovery functions have unfortunately been unsuccessful.

I therefore request your immediate assistance in restoring my data. Ideally, a rollback of my profile to a backup state from this morning, February 25, 2026, at approximately 08:30 AM, is required to restore the state prior to the faulty update.
