Hello. I added some controls like zoom control to firefox toolbar and it's work while firefox is opened. after closing and re-opening the firefox, those controls will disappear. what's the problem?

I have installed Firefox's free VPN. It shows in the toolbar, as a grey X and a grey "VPN". When I click that, I receive a series of promising, colorful dialog boxes that ultimately change nothing. I can only click the grey VPN and run through the same cycle again with the same results (opening yet a new tab). I have looked in Extensions and Themes > Manage Your Extensions, and can't find the VPN. How do I turn it on?

Estoy observando un comportamiento específico en Firefox que no logro reproducir en otros navegadores basados en Chromium.

Escenario de prueba:

Sitio web con un visor panorámico personalizado. Imágenes panorámicas de aproximadamente 4.500 px de ancho. Movimiento horizontal continuo y lento. Sin reproducción de video ni elementos pesados adicionales.

Resultados observados:

En Chrome, Edge, Brave y Opera el desplazamiento es fluido desde el primer instante. En Firefox el desplazamiento comienza con pequeños tirones o saltos visibles. Los tirones disminuyen progresivamente y desaparecen después de aproximadamente 4 a 12 segundos, dependiendo de la cantidad de panorámicas activas. Una vez estabilizado, el movimiento es completamente fluido. El comportamiento se reproduce incluso utilizando una sola imagen panorámica. Si existen varias panorámicas, el síntoma vuelve a aparecer cada vez que una nueva imagen entra en pantalla.

Pruebas realizadas:

Se descartó que el problema estuviera relacionado con transiciones entre imágenes. Se descartó que estuviera relacionado con programación o temporizadores. Se probó con una sola imagen activa. Se probó utilizando distintos métodos de desplazamiento. El comportamiento sigue siendo exclusivo de Firefox.

La impresión es que Firefox requiere algunos segundos para estabilizar el renderizado o la decodificación de imágenes panorámicas anchas antes de alcanzar una animación completamente fluida.

¿Existe alguna recomendación específica para animaciones panorámicas continuas de gran ancho en Firefox?

My internet connection is with Comcast, whom has told their customers that they will no longer be allowing email addresses with their company’s name. To this end I have been trying to move my old email accounts over from them, and I'm facing a lot of problems. However, since I was able to change the email in the Mozilla account today, I may be able to do it now. Also, please update my computer info to windows 11. Educated guesses below are correct.

The summary says it all, I think. My desktop runs Win 11, Firefox as default browser, synced to all my devices. My emergency backup (very old/slow) laptop runs Win 10, Firefox default browser, synced. I can login to my Etsy account on the laptop. Desktop login attempt, I get an "error occurred" failure. Have emptied cookies/history/rebooted and have changed email & password for account (using laptop) to no avail.

Is there a Firefox setting I should look into on my desktop ?

Recent update from MSFT (?) anyhow, suddently Firefox has crashed and can no longer access - can no longer uninstall and reinstall. Simply does not work & I am hoping to be able to correct this so all my various bookmarks, passwords, etc are not suddenly gone

Whenever I search for images on Google, it completely breaks Google search completely. For example, if I search for "bananas" then on the main Results page it has some results and then some sections with drop down menus for more specific questions like "What are the benefits of bananas?" etc. But if I click on the "Images" tab, then it only loads around 6-7 rows of images before failing to load any more, clicking on the images that it does load will not open a website or the typical preview panel, and going back to the main results page from that broken images tab results in none of the drop down buttons working any more.

If I sign out of my Google account completely or even sign into a different Google account, then everything works as normal. If I sign into the same Google account and attempt the same process in a different browser (Edge) then everything works as normal. I initially thought this must be an issue with my Google account since signing out/into a different account caused the issue to disappear, but the I only have this problem specifically on the specific combination of this one particular Google account and the Firefox browser.

I have tried clearing site data, disabling/deleting extensions, and even fully uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox so far and nothing has helped.

it can be useful if u create a system of syncing which actually works, why my passwords dont sync when i log in and also i had to put my exact same passwords 6 times before the stupid system recognized it was correct, the fuck is happening i had changed devices before and this never happened i dont know why now but im very upset

I'm fed up with firefox. It seems almost every update deletes old passwords or creates new profile (which effectively deletes the passwords!)

I've tried looking at about.profiles which seems pointless - the active profile does not have my passwords and the inactive profile does not have them either.

If you can't secure passwords what's the point of your browser??

I'm moving to another browser which can guarantee the security of my passwords.

Meanwhile, I must visit every site I use to reset my passwords - what a chore!!!

I am facing a recurring issue while browsing websites on Firefox. This happened even before the latest upgrade. Only it is worse after this last software upgrade.

After using the browser for 1–2 minutes, the browser gets stuck or becomes unresponsive. While scrolling through websites, the full page does not load properly, and parts of the webpage suddenly become blank. In many cases, the existing tab cannot even be refreshed. I have to close the program, wait a few minutes and reopen. Very frustrating. I have been using Firefox for many years and this is the most unstable I have ever seen it. Recently, I've noticed that, when I Google something, and it shows those AI-created drop-down options (highlit on the screenshot), clicking on the drop down arrow does nothing; no error, no "dropping down", nothing.

My cursor doesn't show an 'image preview' anymore when I hover over a tab even though I still have it checked in my settings. It always did until a few days ago, but now it doesn't & I haven't changed anything.
