I just logged on and went to Netflix. I was logged in under an account I haven't used in a year. While trouble shooting the issue I discovered the browser updated and synced my old account with my new one. This included passwords and logins that were compromised in data breaches. I don't even use the old computer or any of those passwords. Now I can't even get Netflix to play on there with the correct login data. I took that old account info out and deleted the cookies from compromised accounts. Can anyone tell me how to fix the sites, other than switching away from Firefox entirely?

I am not happy and can't even leave feedback to get real support from the people who did this dumb stunt without even asking me first.

But no definitive answer. And my feature request still remains for a history of sent tabs.

Dear Mozilla Team,

during the recent weeks I was away from my main PC and primarily used my iphone to browse the web. Every now and then I sent a link to the PC using Safari's share and the integrated send to function of Firefox for iOS. This usually worked really well, even when my PC was powered off. When I got back home and started my PC, sync would take forever, but was then interupted and all further tries to sync (hoping to get those tabs eventually) failed.

My question is if there is a log file of all those links that are sent to different devices? I believe there has to be one given that Mozilla's servers are being used and tabs (usually) arrive on powered-off devices following a request to the server.

If there is, please tell me how to access it/send it to me. If there is not, please take this as a feature request (a sent links history being gathered locally as part of the wider Firefox profile maybe and as a viewable list of all shared tabs for all devices so that tabs can still be sent to single devices but also accessed from others, similar to how tabs can be accessed from all synced devices).

Firefox was working 20 minutes ago, I went to fix a different problem I had with downloading and launching origins launcher. Now Firefox only will open to the outline of what you see when opening it up. I am able to open up the top right menu but when i click on something, nothing loads. When i go into type a website in and click enter nothing happens, text is put into the URL but no website shows. I checked my firewalls, Firefox is allowed there. I have access to my bookmarks and everything, but when I click on them to go to their sites, nothing happens either. But when I click on websites the url pops up in white text in the bottom left of the screen. Please help, this is incredibly annoying and I still haven't figured origins yet, lol.

Is there a way to undo and Synchronization that Hinders my Bookmarks Majorly? I was on my Laptop and i had an old recovery backup go thru and when i sync to fix it, it changed my most recent settings and i lost all my Bookmarks.

Yesterday, I suddenly removed all logins and somehow my profile was synced to the cloud.

Fortunately, I still keep all login files (json and key db files), I tried to recovery all my logins, it was successfully.

But, right after that my profile was synced from the cloud to my machine then whole logins were clear.

So how can I overwrite my profile in the cloud so I can totally recovery my old logins?

Kindly help to give my some advice.

Hi, my machine choked and died on the latest Windows update. I tried every trick I know, but eventually had to admit defeat and nuke'n'boot. Most' 'of my stuff was either backed up or kept on a non-OS drive, but I needed to reinstall Firefox. When I did, I found there is a limit to how many tabs Sync willl display at once from another device. That limit is 1,271 tabs, which is not all of mine - I'm pretty sure I had more than that open in a single one' 'of my seven open windows (though probably only the one window had that many).

Also, with the new Firefox update, while I can open all 1,271 at once, that just leads to Firefox crashing. When similar things happened in the past, I could open, say, fifty at a time, and kill Firefox's process every time it became too much for my computer, then reopen firefox with all those tabs open but not active, however with FF 89 I only seem to be able to open one or all.

To make matters worse, those 1,271 tabs I can see seem to be randomised each time, or at least randomly ordered, so I wouldn't even be able to methodically open all 1,271 with my usual method of killing firefox and reopening it.

Is there any way I can send the 1,271 straight to bookmarks, or open the entire session from the old install, or view more than the 1,271, or open the old synced tabs view, where I could open as many or as few as I wanted to, instead of all or (basically) nothing?

I have activated Firefox Sync and "delete cookies on close" and I have noticed that the URLs I have set up exceptions for do not sync across my devices, thus having to re-enter them on every device.

Is this by design or can I do something about it?

I've logged in on a brand new installation of macOS (Ventura), but it does not sync my logins, passwords, etc. The settings for the sync are also enabled and it works fine on Windows and Linux. Also tried rebooting, but no luck so far.

Hi forum The email provider for my preferred secondary email address uses greylisting. It works, very well. The confirming email from firefox is sent from a random amazon address, which gets greylisted as intended. There's a 5 minute limit for entering the confirmation code, but greylisting slows delivery of the email to around 15 minutes, waiting for the amazon sending server to try multiple times. Is there another way to update the secondary email address ?

When I sync passwords between my laptop and desktop what happens?

Do all my passwords appear on both machines, or

do just the passwords from on device replace the passwords from the other

I have a desktop and laptop both with FF installed and synced and they ALWAYS load identical. Yesterday I set up my my new desktop in my office and I installed FF and when I logged onto my account my FF stayed the default color. This never happened before, and as I turned and looked at my old desktop I saw that it too now had the wrong theme. So I went into my kitchen were I have my laptop set up (it just upgraded itself to win 11 and I am using it as a training tool) the FF on it was no longer appearing correctly.

I have since spent 30 some hours uninstalling/reinstalling FF/ deleting my profile, remaking my profile, re-deleting my profile and making another new profile using a different email and when I install FF on ANY OTHER pc it will not load correctly, especially themes and add ons.

What the hell is causing this and how do I fix it??

On every PC I used my Revo Uninstaller Pro to uninstall FF including file remnants and then meticulously scrubbed repeatedly each PC for any leftover registry and file remnants, and then I used my file eraser program to wipe all the file slack.

If this is going to be an issue why have FF ? I spend enough time now keeping Edge disabled and dont want my fav primary browser to become a "High Maintenance" browser having to spend time EVERY TIME I TURN ON MY PC fixing this, repeatedly. Its like having to add water to your cooling system every time you start up your car before you can use it.

Any help would be enormously appreciated.

The trouble shooting information below is for the first install tonight after getting home and making the newest profile and it is seemingly staying correct, the next install on my laptop is incorrect, it has one deleted theme installed yet is "using" the default theme and the correct theme I picked is not even showing.

My old PC still shows up on sync. I can't remove it because I took it apart when I built my current PC to reuse some parts. Is there a way to remove it from sync or am I stuck with it showing up?
