I would like to have a solution to reactivate all the bookmarks in the personal bar.

3 times now, my account has completely reset, forcing me to log into everything again and not working with the key that I copy and pasted and downloaded. I would like my old data back. Why does this keep happening?

I recently lost all my data on my computer and after logging into my account, I couldn't retrieve my firefox data. I searched everywhere on my browser and couldn't find nothing to fix this.

Went to bed last night & firefox was fine.

Opened it this morning & I don't see my bookmarks. The folders on the toolbar from Africa to Healthcare all say empty. Lottery thru web cameras have links in them that I can see. I I open another tab & go to google, then save that bookmark in the google folder it won't let me yet edit bookmark shows.

If I click edit bookmark it tells me that it's in the google folder already yet when I click on the folder, it says empty..

Ran a virus scan. It was clean. I tried restoring bookmarks from a previous day. Firefox was unable to do it.

What is going on? If the bookmarks are there, why can't I see them?

I've used this browser for years without a problem. Now all the sudden it's one problem after another. I'm ready to jump ship to a different browser.

I'm on version 144.0.2 (64-bit) using Windows 11 Pro.

I use the Firefox browser.

While online, as I pressed a letter , Firefox closed, and its icon on the Taskbar disappeared.

After finding a Mozilla support page, and updating the browser, I found that all of my Bookmarks had disappeared.

And even worse. I tapped the 3 bars in the upper right corner to go to > Settings > Privacy Security > Saved Passwords. All of my Passwords were eliminated too. This is disastorous.

Help, I'm 71 years old.

FF 145.0.2 (64 bit) canonical-002 - 1.0 running on Kubuntu 25.10 has suddenly started locking up completely after a minute or so with an "unresponsive". As I have just put in the crash reporter: "I haven't had problems with FF before but just possible that this relates to my growing problems with Thunderbird see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1551791. I putting a question in Mozill Support about trying to keep my tabs and perhaps groups before doing a complete reinstall." So my questions here are:

• I am planning to to a complete clean reinstallation from snap but is there a better (more stable) installation?
• either snap specific or generically: is there a way I can find the open tab list from the debris of this snap installation (and perhaps the groups but that's less important)?

I tried replying to your email introducing the new version to report this, but the mail daemon replied there was no mx record for domain=mail.mozilla.org. Have I been scammed by someone appearing to be Mozilla ?

I just updated to the latest Firefox. All my history, bookmarks, extensions are now gone. I do not seem to be able to get them back. My old version of Firefox is not available. When I ask to update from a prior browser, the drop down selection does not give me my prior version of Firefox. Help!

I have deleted my preferences by accident and I can't get them back off time machine or in the trash,

fire fox won't open as it says preferences missing -

and I keep going around in circles getting nowhere -

In Firefox my previously working Bookmark folders are empty, everything I previously bookmarked is gone, and now firefox will not let me create any bookmarks to replace them .

I recently bought an new HP Win 11 PC to replace my current Win 10 machine. Running latest FF 144.0.2 on both. How do I transfer my complete FF profile (bookmarks, bookmark bar, login data, EVERYTHING) to the new PC? Want the new install to be an exact functional copy.

you asked me to change my profile, choose a color and I did. But when I wanted to Firefox, all my old password and bookmarks had disappeared. I want them back if I am going to continue to use Firefox as my favorite browser.

I recently installed a new add-on in Firefox — the one that allows you to create different profiles with individual names and colors in the browser.

After the installation and a subsequent restart of my MacBook Pro, my previously open session windows were not automatically restored when starting Firefox as usual. Instead, a message appeared asking whether I wanted to “restore all session windows.” I clicked “Yes,” but none of my previous windows opened.

Since then, my saved passwords and bookmarks also seem to have disappeared. I suspect that my previous profile may have been overwritten or that a new profile was created.

Could you please let me know if and how I can restore my previous sessions, bookmarks, and passwords? Is there perhaps a way to access my data through a backup or via the sessionstore.jsonlz4 file or an older Firefox profile?
