Hi Firefox team,

The instructions to download Firefox are not working for my laptop.

when I try and follow instructions (see image 1) there is no choice in app settings, or advanced app settings, see image 2.

and if I try downloading directly from app store, as advised in image 3, there is no firefox app that comes up, see image 4.

this is a new Lenovo laptop, not sure which windows it is running.

I have bought a new laptop and want to install Firefox. I have attempted to duplicate the version on my first laptop, with the intention of scrapping it, this would already have been duplicated all my details on the new laptop. Clearly I am simple creating a big mess. Please could someone put me straight? Brian

I suffered a catastrophic crash and had to replace my computer, a mac. I replaced it with another mac.

Because the older one will not boot up, I could not migrate my firefox data.

I ended up doing 'lost password' for all my sites.

There are a couple where the lost password thing hasn't worked.

It occurred to me to rename the (new computer's) logins.json file, copy the old computer's logins.json file from my external backup drive, put it in new computer's /user/library/application support/firefox, and then look in preferences, get the two passwords I want, set things back, enter these passwords into firefox again.

This did not work. In fact, now no matter which file is named logins.json, preferences says I have NO passwords stored.

I cannot find anything that tells me how to just decrypt the .json files (at least, not in a step-by-step way that I can use.)

I read the article about support ending for 10.14, stating that users will be moved to Firefox ESR for a final year of security updates. But this raises unaddressed questions

1. What happens for users such as myself who are already using Firefox ESR with its own separate profile, in addition to "regular Firefox" (for lack of a better term)?

1. Does the transition mean that my two profiles will be merged?

1. Will it ask me at every launch which profile to use, or will it simply use the last-used profile, leaving me to switch manually?

Because of these questions, I have held off updating. Can anyone fill in the blanks?

I cannot use, update, uninstall, refresh, or reinstall Firefox (and haven't for four or more years). I always get this message: "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window." But I have (obviously) shut down the computer entirely any number of times in all those years. What can I do? I will be taking college classes and Firefox is one of the few browsers that the college supports.

I installed a new Firefox 115, Windows 10 and now cannot access any of the tabs I had open on my old Firefox on DESKTOP-4EN9PTV, even though I can see all these tabs listed on my Firefox on iPhone. How do I open the Firefox on DESKTOP-4EN9PTV on my laptop?

I updated Firefox and overrode the working version I was using. The new version error message is: Requires osx 10.12 or later. I cannot upgrade my Mac operating systems. It’s and old MacBook Pro I cannot access the internet. Safari does not work on my computer. I need your help! Call Mike at 7813213124. My operating system is 10.11.6 and I cannot upgrade. I download a file. It stops and speaks of a security risk. The website is https, but the file is http. Is there a location I can pre-approve all files from the url to override the objection? Thanks.

After downloading Firefox browser from my organizations toolbox on my new enterprise Macbook Pro, I logged in using my email address, but my password was not recognized. After resetting my password and successfully logging in, none of my previous data is available. Is there a way to find this data from my last back up? I do have my Mozilla recovery key.

About a week ago I started having trouble downloading large high resolution photo files. I have been downloading these files for work for over a year and they have always load very quick. I would click on the file and the entire photo file would be there instantly. However, for the past week these file do not download or download very slowly. I have checked internet speed, which is 310. I can also switch browsers and have no problem downloading the same files. So its not my computer and it not the internet, so something has changed with Firefox. Can you help?? I have used Firefox for over 20 years and don't want to change browsers, but I have to work and this downloading is a problem.

hi!, so i downloaded a couple videos on mozilla, i saw them in my downloads but i didn't open them, now i delete them from mozilla and they were automatically deleted from dowloads and i can't find them in my recycle bin either.Is there a way to get them back?

I set up Firefox on a new laptop yesterday and it came up with all the bookmarks etc I had previously. I was prompted to set a profile so I set default user. Now I have lost everything I had. How do I get it all back. Do I delete Firefox and start over? Richard Culver [removed email from public]

New computer. Downloaded Firefox signed with password, but there are a lot of message missing from Gmail. What should have done or do now to have all of the same email, etc. on the new computer? Thank you in advance for your help.

I just checked to see if there were an update to Firefox, for my secondary laptop. But for some reason it wants to update from "Version 115.0.3 (64-bit)" to "115.1esr".

I have never used ESR in my life, so why does it want to update to ESR?

Is this expected, or is there a problem with this? It is intentional that I use my Windows 7 64-bit laptop.

I recently installed Firefox on my new laptop. During install I recall seeing a pop up for McAfee. I think I clicked that I didn't want it. After using Firefox for a little while, a McAfee pop up appeared about being on a dangerous site. (This is one that I have been on numerous times before and my preferred virus protection has not had an issue with it.) Does Firefox automatically install McAfee even when we don't want it? I searched through my apps and found a McAfee Webmaster app and uninstalled it. I have inadvertently had McAfee added on other computers and have had nothing but problems with it. If Firefox wants to associate itself with McAfee, I am having my doubts about what else is being added to my computer. Should I be concerned?
