Further to the malware, it references Windows OS but has seized her Mac. I powered off. Rebooted. Within about 15 seconds of opening Firefox the malware pops up and freezes the Mac. By the third time I was able "force quit" Firefox and the other applications function properly. I beleive I deleted Firefox but probably didn't get it all out. I reinstalled firefox and upon booting up Firefox the malware is still activated. Can you please assist with a fix?

I have some names that pop up in an autofill dropdown when trying to input names. Some of them are misspelled and some are obsolete. How do i delete these? I've looked in Privacy and Settings and they are NOT present under "Addresses and more". Those are complete addresses with names. The ones i'm referring to are just names that pop up in an autofill drop down. These are names that i can't seem to find anywhere in Settings.

I came across another thread here that said try highlighting the name and Shift+Fn+Delete. This does not work

At some point I thought it would be a good idea to save my password for Amex and wells fargo so that I didn't have to enter it every time. When I go to their websites from firefox, they automatically populate at the sign in screen. How do I erase that ?

Hello, I have a few rows of website icons on my home screen for quick access to my most used sites. The rows were always spread across the screen so that the icons were a convenient size, and the text (i.e. labels) under the icons were complete and readable ... until yesterday. Now the icons are pushed together into a smaller area of the screen. Not only are the icons small, but the labels under many of them are truncated in order to fit into the smaller space. I did not make any changes to my settings so I don't know how or why this has happened. I am hoping that there is a way to restore the home page to its former state. Does anyone have a solution? I get emails with attachments that I often can't open. I am very NON-tech savvy. It seems jpg opens fairly easily. I got a statement that opened easily, but MANY photo attachments with only "?" - no "jpg" - asked me where to file them, how to name them. I don't know before seeing the attachment. It bothers me to have to call service providers repeatedly and ask them to send things in different formats. Google tells me I can set Mozilla preferences to always open automatically, but now, with AI, I got redirected. Your help will be appreciated!

I have two profiles, one for work and one for my personal in the same account. I need to sync both of my profiles but do not want the information in the two profiles mixed together. I need to sync the information as I have a desktop and a laptop that I use for work, and mobile devices and another laptop for personal matters. If I am on work travel and need to access my personal profile on my laptop (because schlepping two machines is silly!), I want to switch my profile to the personal one. then when I am done I want to switch back to the work profile. How can I do this and is firefox set up to do this?

Before the update, I could use "cmd+shift+[number]" to open a new container tab. Now, nothing works. "cmd+t" opens a tab with "no container", which is completely different.

I already tried going to "about:keyboard", but opening a new container tab isn't even listed as an option.

seems that after Firefox 150.0.3 (20260511200624). I cant access locally deployed servers that are not secure. the Firefox forces https when hitting http://localhost. I've tried to disable the HTTPS setting altogether. Even in developer mode it still overwrites http to https.

Hi folks, my primary password suddenly stopped working when trying to look at saved passwords today. I've changed it to a new one, needing to type in the old password to do so. That worked, which verifies I had the correct password to begin with.

I then updated the browser to the latest version. When I type in the new password on startup of Firefox it works fine to reopen all the old tabs.

However when I go to look at any of the saved website passwords, the problem reoccurs again. I type in the new password but the box shakes, refusing it.

How can it be that the primary password lets me in fine when starting up Firefox, yet I get the shaking login box when I try to look at any saved website passwords? Surely if the primary password works for one it should work for the other?

I updated Firefox a few minutes ago and closed everything to let it finish. When I reopened it, all my bookmarks were gone. I checked the restore option in the Bookmarks menu, but only today's date was available, and clicking it did nothing. I found the bookmarkbackups folder in my profile directory, but there's only one file—859 bytes, which is basically empty. I'm signed into a Firefox account now, but my bookmarks aren't syncing from the server, which suggests they were never synced. Is there any way to recover them, or are they just gone?

Many URLs and hosts automatically reload pages. For example, when I am reading a multi-page article and am several pages in, the page often reloads and I have to start all over again and try find the place where I left off reading. "Stop Auto Reload" is a Firefox extension that is supposed to allow the user to stop the auto-reloading that many URLs and hosts execute, but it does not always work. It seems to work on some sites, but not on others. I have not found any other extensions so far that address this. Any assistance with this problem is greatly appreciated. -Neil
