OS: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit with all the latest Windows updates installed; running Windows version 23H2. Firefox release I'm having problems with: 137.0.2.

Just upgraded to release/version 137.0.2. The first time I open Firefox each day it takes about 2 to 3 minutes for ANY website to load. Sometimes when a web page does eventually load none of the images display.

I have tried same websites using Google Chrome AND Microsoft Edge. Websites don't have problems loading using either of those 2 browsers unless I have Firefox open in another window. If they load slowly, as soon as I close Firefox, web page load quickly in Chrome or Msoft Edge.

Not a RAM problem because I typically have around 20% of my RAM being used.

Did not have any of these problems using Firefox version 137.0.1.

UPDATE: Thought maybe it was one of my add-on/extensions so I checked for updates. Four needed updating. Made the updates and website still no loading properly.

I cannot tile my Firefox windows to left or right when I choose vertical tabs mode from settings. It works fine with horizontal tabs enabled. I am using Firefox 137.0.1 on Linux Mint 22.1 Cinnamon 6.4.8 with Linux Kernel version 6.8.0-57-generic, display server X11.

My bookmarks and favicons keep disappearing. Yesterday they disappeared, so I rebooted my computer and the bookmarks came back, but not the favicons. I had to click on each bookmark to get the favicon to load, but even that didn't work on each one (and no, I am not going to click on every single bookmark I have, that would be ridiculous!). This has happened several times this month. I was hoping the last update would fix it, but nope, still happening. Currently using 137.0.1

Firefox now requires me to use a passkey to log in to YouTube. I don't have (or want) a passkey. My computer locks up solid, and I must reboot when I cancel the request for a pass key. I have cleared the Firefox cache and cookies. Nothing seems to help.

I used to be able to make my own settings in Bing, but since the last update my settings are no longer stored. Each time I change them, when I open a new tab the BIng defaults are used. How do I get Firefox to accept my Bing preferences?

there is no bookmark sidebar button at the right of the address bar

I am running firefox in 5 windows with at least 7 tabs each every time i exit, reopen of update it i have more that 35 Bookmark LEFT Side Bars to close IF i have the patience to close all of them WHICH NEVER HAPPENS... (this is happening since too long, I am pissed off...)

I searched, tried a couple of "solutions" to no avail

I want to 'Import bookmarks, passwords, history, and autofill data into Firefox' - from an Extreme SSD, used as a Time Machine on my iMac.

I had to do a clean install on my iMac = due to a problem with the latest OS system update Sequoia. And have so far been UNABLE to import either 'Passwords from CSV file' or Bookmarks from HTML file'.

I need to stop Firefox from reordering my tabs. Apparently it puts the last used one at the rightmost place. I DO NOT WANT OR NEED THIS.

How can I stop this behavior?

Please give the option to have vertical tabs and sidebar functionality split into two seperate things. Much like with Edge and Vivaldi, we should be able to have vertical tabs on the left of the browser, with the sidebar on the right.

We should also be able to open any website in mobile view with the sidebar, again replicating the functionality of Edge and Vivaldi

Every morning when I go online, a firefox icon appears on my desktop. I did not give anyone permission to put an icon on my desktop. How can I stop this from happening?

I updated FireFox to Firefox 137.0.1 (20250407111027) from Firefox 136.0.4 (20250326231000). Then, any time I would open ChatGPT, the text input box has been squished to ~30% of it's size which is resulting in formatting errors when copy pasting code or text from ChatGPT. I have the Zoom set to default settings, cleared cookies, and restarted firefox but the problem still persists. Is anyone else having a similar issue?

Use to be able to use the Ctrl-D to save bookmarks, but for a while this doesn't work any longer. The work around is to open manage bookmarks, add a bookmark, it works, but gets tedious. Read the article on cannot add bookmarks.

There were multiple copies of places.sqlite with variations and two with the current date. Selected one of the two with the current date, opened to properties, the read-only was not checked already.

Found xulstore.json and deleted file.

Opened Firefox, all the bookmarks were gone, imported bookmarks, passwords, etc. from Chrome which I was also using.

After that, Ctrl-D to save bookmark still wouldn't work. Now I will try deleting Firefox and residual files in hopes of a fresh clean copy of Firefox that would work as intended.

I found social media sites wouldn't work under standard or strict setting: x.com, bsky.app, mastodon.social, linkedin.com. Facebook does work under strict setting.

I have another laptop, and no such issue with Firefox. I really liked and use firefox for many years. Recently other issues had been with cloudnet unable to verify caused me to switch to Chrome, but I'm hoping this next step of re-installating firefox would fix the issue I'm currently having.

When I open a new tab I get several shortcut icons including one to search my email for "Netflix". I don't want that. I just want my inbox. How do I edit this so it goes to my gmail inbox and does not search my inbox for "Netflix"?
