Some web pages contain data split into pages and provide something like "Previous 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Next" at the bottom of each page. One example is https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/products/firefox?as=u&utm_source=inproduct#search I would like to be able to move between pages without using the mouse using a keyboard shortcut.

Is there any way that Firefox could simulate a mouse click on a particular element and link this to a key?

Hello/hi Yesterday (Feb1) I had a functional problem with my email site (provider = Orange). Sorting it out with the technician obliged me to refresh Mozilla (for various reasons I'm still on Wndows 7), even though I saw that I had the latest version. I believe that I ticked all the right bowes when doing the Refresh. When it had completed my Orange function duly worked again - but! I could no longer see my (quite extenive) Bookmarks. There's no loner any button to enable me to Bookmark a current page.. My efforts via the drop-down Get-Help-on-Bookmarks function have not worked either. So, please, I need your help! to archieve some good old games, I use an special version of Firefox. Firefox (MyPal): 29.2.0, with Adobe Flash preinstalled, Disk-Cache

For most games it will suffice: After loading all content online, it will be available offline too. But... some audio/video files will be saved in memory cache - %temp%\mozilla-temp-files\*[random-auffix] - instead of in disk cache. After closing session they get deleted and after restart they are saved again, with another suffix.

How can I tell Firefox to permanent save streamed audio/video files, like Firefox does with everything else? In the end the music should play if I open the browser offline too.

I don't know if breakage is the correct topic. I keep Ring.com open to the dashboard in a pinned tab. A few days ago, I had viewed and cleared videos as usual and later returned to view new activity. The site requires logging in every 30 days and so seeing that I needed to do so was not a surprise. What was a surprise was that the login buttons were grayed out. I closed the tab, cleared the Ring cookies and cache and tried again. No luck. I wondered if there was some other setting that I didn't know about and decided to open a private window and try it there. To my surprise, it works. I'm stumped. I'll attach the raw data from the private window as a .txt file. Darn. I can only attach an image. Well, I have it available and can copy and paste it into a subsequent post if you think it would help

Dear Sir I went to an organization on 21/03/2022 for assistant on an issue, in processing the matter I need to open my yahoo mail box for the relate documents within my mail. A lady who assistant me use her lap top computer to open my mail box - I enter my pass word, then a window camp up to asked if I want to save my pass word (with dark color) or not,(with gray color) I was in a stage of rush I just click on right top Conner 'x' she took her computer to other room ( in where I can not see ) I was too naive and don't know if all of my mails had been read by them? - It is my privacy. When I got home I was worried and at next day I changed my yahoo mail pass word. As my pass words are saved within Firefox when I want to open a site it is auto fill the pass word. 1: Is my pass word will saved in that lady's computer? 2: Although I have changed my yahoo mail pass word is it safe? Can that lady able to get to Firefox to see my saved pass word and open my email box? - explore all my emails? Please help I am really worried. I look forward to hearing form you soon. Thank you. I'm using Windows 7 and have been migrated to the esr updates for Firefox. I think this problem started cropping up just before going to the esr versions, but not sure. Firefox will a) randomly hang and do nothing for 5-10 minutes and then pick up fine b) tends to hang a lot when signing into websites like banks, etc, doing the same thing as (a). I've updated FF several times since then, but same problem. I did try to do 1 fix which suggested creating a new "places" database, but that did not solve the problem. Not sure where to go from here as nothing has changed on my computer since the problem started - no new software, etc.

Various website that contain dynamic content are not being rendered by Firefox to display that content. This is happening with websites that provide transportation information and ticketing, including Amtrak and Peter Pan Bus Lines . It is also happening with a genealogical website, FamilyTreeDNA, on pages that should be displaying family tree information. Illustrations of two pages are attached. I have been able to access the information by using Opera on this same computer and operating system, and by using the same version of Firefox installed on a different computer with different operating system. I am not sufficiently proficient with website development to know or understand what type of dynamic content is being generated by these websites, or how Firefox interprets the content. My suspicion is that some Firefox setting has been enabled or disabled, but I do not know which one it would be.

Whenever I press space to scroll one page down the cursor dissapears. The same thing happens when I press `. As soon as I move the mouse it reappears but this is unwanted and annoying behavior which didn't happen in the past. I'm not sure when it started happening but it hasn't been long since that. I tried restarting with all the plugins turned off but that didn't help. I'm using the latest version of FF on Win 7 x64.`

I am desperately trying to recover lost tabs from Firefox Browser after 2 crashes, freezing and forced shutdowns. I need the tabs for my work, and as usually happens, this has occurred at a time when I'm running to meet a critical deadline.

I've tried going to history, but the "recently closed tabs" option was greyed out:-( I've tried searching for other solutions, but cannot fine any that fit my situation. I'm not an IT expert - I know my way around what I need to use (i.e. professional worker), so clear & simple explanation would be much appreciated.

Can I recover the lost tabs from backed up data or a previous system image? My system is Windows 7, and I'm currently running Firefox version 115.0.2. All suggestions welcome!

Hi, this site when trying to login keeps looping, it has only happened recently and I've cleared cookies and disabled all the addons for it, the site works, but when trying to login it loops https://www.nexusmods.com and says in the loop-

even tried in private browsing, cannot use any other web browser. Please help thanks.

I have been using Firefox and GoToMeeting for years, suddenly this month (July 2023) I get the following message when I try to open a GoToMeeting session”

“Sorry, this browser isn’t supported. Join in your browser by opening the link below in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.”

I don’t want to use either of those browsers.

What can I do to keep both Firefox and GoToMeeting?

To avoid neck strain, I have my browser window set to fill only the lower part of my screen - not maximized.

When I open regular FF, it opens the window to the desired size & position. But when I then open a private window, it opens in the right size, but at the top of the screen, and I have to move it down every time - which strains my neck. Is there any setting I can change so that the private window will open in the same size & position as the regular window?

after installing 98.01 recently a tab was opened that informed about a feature for Firefox installations on smartphones: the site said that it is possible to continue my work where I stopped before, including open tabs, bookmarks etc.

I don't have a smartphone - I only use firefox on my notebook. Since I'm considering to buy a new notebook in the upcoming weeks I ask myself how it is possible to migrate my current firefox installastion to a new notebook. Especially I'd like to have all my open tabs, bookmarks and cookies back after having installed firefox on the new notebook.

I’ve not had much success with my online searches to learn the details about what takes place when Firefox syncs browser information across devices. To keep things simple, assume I interested only in syncing bookmarks and staying within the Firefox environment, i.e., no syncing to another browser. Please note that I am NOT asking for help in setting up Sync on different devices or in how to turn Sync on and off. Rather I am seeking help to understand what “sync” means, that is, the details of the sort of information transfers that take place between individual devices and the Firefox Sync server.

Here’s what I currently understand. After signing in to my Firefox account on Device 1, setting up syncing on that device, specifying that I want only bookmarks to be synced, and turning syncing on, the set of bookmarks on Device 1 is sent to be stored on a Firefox server. After that, whenever one is signed in to the Firefox account on Device 1 and syncing is turned on, any changes to the bookmarks on Device 1 will "automatically" (but I don't know how quickly) end up being reflected in the set of bookmarks stored on the server. Fine so far.

In addition to Device 1 I have another device, Device 2 which has not been set up for Firefox Sync. It has its own set of bookmarks. Some of them are also on Device 1, some are not. I sign into my Firefox account on Device 2 and set up syncing on it. I follow the steps for doing this in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-set-sync-my-computer, “Connect additional devices to Sync.” I then click Sync Now. OK, now what happens?

1A. Do the bookmarks in Device 2 get added to the bookmarks stored in the Firefox Sync server? 1B. Do the bookmarks NOT in Device 2 get deleted from the bookmarks stored in the Firefox Sync server?

OR

2A. Do the bookmarks stored in the Firefox Sync server get added to the bookmarks in Device 2? 2B. Do the bookmarks NOT stored in the Firefox Sync server get deleted from the bookmarks in Device 2?

After whatever transfers of bookmark between Device 2 and the Firefox Sync server take place, and assuming that I’m still signed in to my Firefox account on Device 1 and that syncing on that device is still turned on, what sort of transfers of bookmarks takes place between the new set of bookmarks stored in the Firefox Sync server and the set of bookmarks already on Device 1?

3A. Do the bookmarks then present in the Firefox Sync server get added to the bookmarks in Device 1? 3B. Do the bookmarks no longer in the Firefox Sync server get deleted from the bookmarks in Device 1?

Finally, what happens to the set of bookmarks in Device 1 and Device 2 if I’m simultaneously signed in to my Firefox account, syncing is turned on in both Devices 1 and 2, and a bookmark is a) added to either device OR b) deleted from either device?

I’m sorry this message is so long, but I’ve wanted to be clear about the things I don’t understand in regard to Firefox Sync. I’d really appreciate what anyone can say to help me clarify these points. Thanks so much.

Can't login to usaa.com banking site. keeps refreshing login page Using FF desktop latest ver. / win 7

I enter/submit my USAA username on the login page via a username dialog box. I then expect the password dialog box to open, but when I submit the username, FF flashes, i.e. the password dialog box displays for a split second and reverts right back to the username dialog box.

This happens at usaa.com with my user agent set to Windows/FF v 113. BUT if I set the user agent to Android/phone FF v 113, USAA detects the browser as Android/phone FF and it redirects to user agent to https://mobile.usaa.com where I AM able to enter username/password and login.

So what is wrong with FF? There are multiple threads of users unable to login to banking and other sites on the FF browser.

When i go to the addons / extensions setting in firefox these are not showing up, yet when i use CCleaner they are there. When i disable them using CCleaner they enable themselves immediately.

When using the Export Logins feature to create a .csv file, the last few fields don't seem to translate into any known date-stamp format in Excel. The data seems to have relative chronological value, but I can't make sense of it in a spreadsheet.

Can a developer check this and modify the output of those fields so it's more compatible?

It appears web sites can track my activity on their site. How do I make it so a given web site can't track me? Does Firefox have a setting that makes it more difficult to track me on a given web site? I've seen where a VPN, not sure what that is, can be of big help. How do I initiate a VPN and are there free VPN's? When I visit this particular site it states, "from your site login activity" and goes on from there what they want to do. How do I make it more difficult for a web site to be able to track my log in activity? Will a VPN solve this problem? Or, does Firefox have various accessories that can do the same thing? I know deleting cookies with this particular site does not solve the issue for me. Can someone help? Thank you.
