I just created an account to sync my passwords and bookmarks from an old Macbook to a new one. I can see both devices on the Mozilla account but the Sync does not work. Nothing appears in my bookmarks.

After the latest Firefox update (ref c93967), my bookmarks and saved passwords are not syncing across my devices. I have tried signing out and back in but the issue persists. Any suggestions?

I have just completed migrating my files and settings from my (not so) old windows 10 desktop computer to my windows 11 laptop. Everything seems to have gone ok, except that the Firefox bookmarks were installed and only work in the private browsing window. When I start Firefox normally, the window that opens does not have the bookmarks, and even if I enter a web address manually in this window, it will not connect. I can choose "New window" in the drop down menu and that window will have the bookmarks, but still will not connect. The only way to get the bookmarks and also be able to connect to the internet is to choose "New private window" from the drop down menu. The problem with that is that there have been occasions when I have had a need to examine my browsing history, which I can't do since Firefox doesn't save the history when in private window mode. I have tried the procedure to sync bookmarks, history, etc., but the procedure is somewhat confusing and didn't work for me. Can you simplify the procedure for me? Thanks, John Blakley

I started using the new "Profiles" feature in firefox, and I created profiles one one device. However I am finding that the profiles are not syncing across my devices. Both are Windows 11 VMs, I tried doing manual syncs, singed out and back in to both devices. But the Profiles I create on each just do not seem to sync, is this the expected behavior ?

I reinstalled Windows and downloaded the browser again. I logged into my account, turned on synchronization, but none of the data was synced. I am absolutely sure that synchronization was enabled on my old browser. I tried turning it off and on again, but nothing helps. Please help me get my data back!

For some reason, when I try to sync all my stuff from my desktop Win 11 firefox/duckduckgo system, to my new Win 11 laptop, the only option I can get is to sync with a mobile device.

I had no trouble doing this some months ago with another laptop, but this time I cannot find how to do this after trying for over an hour . . . . . .

Has anything been changed that won't allow syncing with another 'big' device, please?

Hi I have a firefox account which I use on 2 macs and a PC as well as an android phone. For the past few months non of my book marks, passwords etc are being synced across the system and I have now completely different book marks on different devises. I have synced each computer multiple times without effect. This used to work perfectly before I changed my password a few months back. It is now reaching a point that firefox is no longer usable for me?? Thanks for your help

Yesterday I only change the photo in my Firefox profile. Today I can't log-in to synchronize my account. When I click on "Anmelden" (German for "log-in") at the top right corner, a new tab opens, I can enter my e-mail adress, klick onto the button "Anmelden oder registrieren" (German for "log-in or register") it fades out and nothing else happens. I can access my account here as I logged in to send this message. What is the issue? How can I start synchronizing my account again? My Firefox version is 146.0 Thanks in advance, Chris

I've installed Firefox Standard Stable on Windows 11, signed in to my Firefox account, and browsed for about 3–4 days.

I decided to use it on my phone too. After installing it and signing in with the same account on my Android device, about 2,200 browsing history items appeared on the phone.

I don't know why. Before browsing, I always cleared my history on my PC using the following options:

CTRL+SHIFT+DEL and selected Everything, with all 5 options selected.

The browsing history data only appeared on the phone.

My concern is: the data must have been downloaded from somewhere since it was cleared on my PC. So, where are those 2,200 history items stored in the cloud, and how can I delete them?

I don't care about my browsing data. If it were sensitive, I would have deleted my Firefox account by now and used the app without an account.

I love Firefox, and this is a big concern that should be addressed ASAP.

I was logged in to my Firefox account and was syncing with other devices, so I thought I was all set .

I formatted my C drive and reinstalled windows, but logging back into a fresh install of Firefox, none of my extensions showed up. Bookmarks and History, yes. But no extensions.

I've lost them and now I don't even remember what they were. Is there a way to check the history in my account to determine the lost extensions?

Dear All, I recently reinstalled Windows and updated to the latest Firefox. When I tried to sign in to sync/restore my bookmarks, Firefox could not recognize my password. Hi there, I have been using the Firefox browser for many years and had saved all my login passwords to various sites on it and I never had a problem with it. But this time, after installing Windows and the Firefox browser, when I logged into my account and turned on the sync, it did not bring any of my previous information. When I go to my account management page, it writes my membership date at the bottom of the page as of today (2026), while as I mentioned, I have had an account on the Firefox browser for many years. How is it possible that my previous information does not exist and it recognizes me as a new user and what is the solution?!

why did firefox delete most of my shortcuts on my old pc after i synced with my new laptop and how do i get them back. I am a senior of 71 yrs not a computer tech.this just screwed everything up for me!HELP!!

Hello Mozilla. I am logged on to my Firefox account on a new computer. Although I have logged in, I haven't experienced Firefox automatically syncing my bookmarks and extensions as I did two computers ago to this last computer. I have tried syncing numerous time (pressing the sync button in my account) to no avail. What do I need to do to get this working? Thank you for your time and attention.

I am trying to sync FF to a new pc laptop from my old pc laptop. I am signed into FF on both devices, but they won't auto sync, even when the (orignal) says that it is. My old laptop is still running on Windows 10. Could this be the reason? If not, please advise how this can be accomplished.

Is there some way to open all tabs on a synced device. I have the list of tabs showing in the sidebar. However, the instruction: "While viewing synced tabs in Sidebar, right clicking on device name allows you to open all tabs from a device at once." does not work. Right clicking does nothing. Version 147.0.2 (64-bit) in Windows 11. Thank you.

Hi! I recently lost my old laptop and I'm trying to setup my new laptop without a backup. I was logged into my mozilla account on my old browser before I lost it, but I'm not seeing any of my old tabs, bookmarks, and extensions from my old browser syncing to my new browser. Is there anything I can do to retrieve this data without having access to my old laptop? Thank to anyone who can help!
