I am getting popups constantly from Mozilla Firefox. It is using a sign on as d9nnarOhubcc73e1106g.alphatechboost.co.in

How do I stop these?

I am receiving pop-up messages indicating CRITICAL ERROR! and "Click here to remove them!" followed by a URL ending with velonexa.com They appear as though they are from Mozilla, but we know better. I try to close the window and, of course, without clicking the url or the Dismiss button, but they keep reappearing. There are three stacked windows, constantly appearing as the pop-up windows are closed. Any thoughts or recommendations to eliminate? I've tried shutting down and rebooting. Pretty confident these are not from you. They are also always on top. I try to do a screen capture or print screen and i only capture what is behind them.

I know this is not generated by Mozilla, but thought you should at least be aware of them.

how do i permanently remove this kind of unwanted garbage,i have no interest in it and its annoying

i do not care about football, i have never shown any interest in football, why am i getting football related recommendations by the browser

I'm using an out of date Windows 10 laptop. I am aware of the Windows 10/11 thing. I know. I've got my own reasons for not updating this one, it's not my only device. I get it. I understand. I know. My settings are how they are on purpose. I do not need to be nagged in this fashion.

How do I turn this off? I can't find it in settings. It's not appearing on any of my other browsers. It's just Firefox. Please help, it's driving me crazy.

I get pop-up "alerts" in Firefox from the NY Post--thousands--so many that simply dismissing them without looking at them is time consuming. I don't see any way to stop them, no "unsubscribe" and nothing in Firefox settings, but there must be a way. Can you help me?

I have have just come across this information and have no idea what add on it is referring to. I'm not one that uses much in the way off add ons. Here I am, 79 next month. I have only my desktop PC. I don't own/use a mobile phone, ipad or any other devices. I use my PC for emails and using the net for research, general information, buying products, ecards etc. I play a couple of games, Lovatts puzzles (3 games), jigzone, word wipe from Washington Post. If I have taken on/used an add on it was with limited knowledge and it certainly was not my intention to cause any problem. Does the block also mean that I am not protected from viruses or malware etc? Please let me know the outcome of your decision. Thanking you in advance. Hello, I installed a VPN on my laptop, but it is not working. I cannot connect to any servers. I have tried restarting my laptop and reinstalling the VPN, but the problem still exists. How can I fix this issue?

I terminated my McAfee subscription, as Windows 11 and Microsoft Office 360 have Microsoft Defender included. I keep getting Mozilla Firefox warning notices saying my McAfee licence has expired, Trojan Virus found on hard drive, multiple virus on my computer, Critical errors etc. I have had MS Defender do several scans and no problems have been detected. Can you help correct this or do I have a virus that Defender cant detect? I have tried to copy one of the notices but it comes up as a link to further notices and I am concerned it is another virus. The notices are all Mozilla badged with suggestions such as Scan and fix, Turn on protection, Update windows and more. I am able to delete them, but after a few minutes they return. Regards Robert.

Receiving Popups in Firefox Trojan Virus found, System Warning.... every time I close or dismiss another pops up. It indicated it was from McAfee at first, now includes websites I removed from Notifications... I scanned via Webroot 4 times now No threats found, None removed.... So I shut everything down and rebooted. Came right back up.

I am afraid to log into anything including email but I need help ASAP!!

I keep getting what appears to be notification (of news items?) popping up in the lower right hand corner of my screen. Is this a function of Firefox and if so can I disable it?

Hello: FF dev 150b5,w11p. With this v 150 there's a new irritant that I would like to stop, please. That's the sudden (starting w/v150 again) appearance on lower L corner, of a popup window, which may be interactive. That is, this thing is so new I can't say more about it except that I didn't change anything to make this thing appear, & this didn't happen in prev.versions.

I looked in settings & the only thing on keyword "popup" goes to, in "search results", is: "block popups & 3rd party redirects." I already had that choice checked from previous versions (that is, do block). But this new popup appeared (unasked) anyway.

Is there an extension that will stop these? If so, what keyword(s) do I put into the "search extensions" box to find the extension(s)?

Also, w/this new "wonder" of unasked-for popups -- is this another "coming w/AI" feature I will have to live with?

I did a search here on "popups" before posting,but came up w/nothing relevant.

/edit:fixed a formatting issue causing horizontal scrolling

Whenever I open Firefox in my laptop, many pop up news snippets start appearing. It disturbs me and intrudes into my work. Please stop all pop ups and notifications. Thank you.
