how to turn off, disable, kill the primary password. I want nothing to do with this feature. it is a royal pain. i have tried all the options but no go.

Hi. While clearing my browser history the other night some of my bookmarks also got deleted. I understand once browser history is deleted it cannot be recovered, but is there any way a deleted bookmark can be recovered?

After the last Firefox update, my bookmarks list only highlights the thumbnail image. The descriptive text which was previously in white colored text is no longer colored but faded and not readable. How do I resolve this problem? Zak

Hi, can someone please to me how to turn off automatic updates on Firefox Version 140.0 (64-bit)? Firefox's own support page, "https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-options-preferences-and-settings?as=u&utm_source=inproduct", is incorrect. It states that, "Firefox Updates Here you can check your update history or change update settings for Firefox.", but you can not change the update setting, (see attachment).

It is really annoying it updates while you are using it, ruining your experience as you can no longer refresh tabs or open new ones forcing you to restart it.

Just downloaded version 140 and ran into an immediate "visual/appearance" problem with regard to the background color(s) of the sidebar bookmarks view. Many themes now have totally dark sidebar colors and not readable (see screenshot image upload with this posting). I always have my bookmarks (almost 1200 of them) displayed in my sidebar, and this is the first time an issue like this has arisen with a Firefox update.

To remedy this scenario, I must use very light colored themes that have a white background when you bring up the sidebar bookmarks. If not, everything is totally dark and unreadable.

Any ideas or help on this one?

I've use Firefox or Foxfire for several years at the time I installed it I was using Windows 10. I now have Windows 11. Ever time I try to access he internet a window comes up and ask me to create an email address with Gemini. Google or Microsoft will not let me access my internet, [email removed]@nquinnlaw.com. why the hell it canceled in my setting the check mark at startup for opening previous tabs?! i haven't touched the settings in ages since i set them up so it had to be one of your stupid updates.

fortunatly chatgpt had a solution to bring all my tabs back otherwise i'd fucking rage out.

Why it disappeared? It was always there. I am logged in Pocket and tried to restart Firefox. Maybe it has to something do with recently added AI side panel? I have the newest firebox version and i have you tube connected to the menu bar and 2 icons for it on the desktop i m not sure what if an addon are cause it to stay in full screen screen mode i do not wan it in full scene mode. i have done everything i know how to do to stop it from full screen please how do i get it ti default always just giving you a sample of what Iam getting just a sample of the size i do not have firefox zoomed it is on 100 percent and not zoomed the sixes is 16 and 14 an no larger.

Since win 11 when I log into my company time system called easyflow and I try and download the time to excel it doesn't open or go to the download folder. Instead a little extra window pops up in the lower bottom left for a second and then dissappears. Nothing is ever on the downloads the file never opens anywhere. Anyone know how to fix this issue??

I am trying to set up a vpn using Proton as a Firefox add-in but Firefox won't let me use it, saying it has invalid credentials. I can't contact Proton because if I enable it as an add-in to Firefox, I can't use my browser. Do you know of any other vpn networks that work securely with Firefox?

When using Firefox in fullscreen mode (via F11) on Windows or Linux, moving the mouse to the top reveals the tab and address bar. but this causes the page content below to shrink temporarily.

In comparison, Chromium-based browsers handle this differently: their tab and address bars appear as overlays, without disturbing the layout or causing any viewport resize. This results in a more immersive and fluid fullscreen experience.

Please consider implementing a similar overlay behavior in Firefox's fullscreen mode, or at least providing a toggle via about:config to allow users to choose between current behavior and overlay-style tab reveal.

When using any Microsoft 365 product on the browser I keep getting a prompt to "Please sign in" although I am already signed in. I can click the Sign in button and a about:blank page pops up for a split second. Then within a half hour or so, it will pop up again. I deleted my cookies but the problem still persists. Does not happen on other browsers.
