On a new tab page, I have unselected "recommended stories" and added four rows of shortcuts. Almost invariably, when I open a new tab, Firefox has added a couple of new shortcuts, bumping two of mine off the page. The shortcuts I've selected are the ones I want. I would like Firefox to stop making suggestions. Does anyone know if that's possible, and, if so, how do you do it?

I really like using the "Shortcuts" (Top Sites) feature on the Firefox new tab page. However, there is one problem: Firefox automatically adds new shortcuts from recently visited sites.
I would like to keep only the shortcuts I manually pinned, without Firefox suggesting or adding new ones automatically. Currently, if I disable browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.feeds.topsites, all shortcuts disappear, and if I leave it enabled, Firefox keeps adding unwanted sites.
Could you please add an option to disable automatic shortcut suggestions while keeping only pinned shortcuts? This would make the feature much more convenient for users who prefer to manage their shortcuts manually.

i just upgraded to windows 11 but when i use my address bar it doesn't save the sites i go to as my top sites on my drop down.

The favicons on my homepage are not appearing when I launch Firefox, and I can't find any way to restore them. Turning the favicons on/off in the settings doesn't help, it just moves the location of the search bar. I've included some images to better illustrate the problem.

Been out and when I came back the page is totally blank. I've tried sytem restore to 5th October but makes no difference. I use Windows 10 and read that Firefox are continuing to support Windows 10 I'm visually impaired and use a desktop PC with a large screen. I'm not PC techically knowledgeable. Regardless of refreshing efforts, rolling back versions, and searching the forums, there's no way to consistently get the shortcuts back. Sometimes they appear with a new browser instance, sometimes they don't. They don't appear with new tabs, and they don't stay when they do appear with a new browser. Grrrr. Please restore the shortcuts!
