This happens most times (not always but more often than not) -

1. Firefox is open and running 2. Computer is put to Sleep and stays dormant for an extended period of time (at least a couple of hours) 3. Computer wakes up 4. Firefox Sync is in an infinite loop - the Sync icon in the menu (usually static and showing the last update time in the tooltip) is continuously rotating and never stops 5. In the above state, any change made to the Bookmarks are not stored

The only way to get out of the above state is to forcibly shut down Firefox (it always activates the Crash Reporter) and then restart with a fresh session. This has been happening for all the last few major releases

Suddenly one day, I found that many of my bookmarks on the same website are lost. These bookmarks are in one (default name) folder under a folder. I guess it was caused by a firefox upgrade.

I have periodically gotten a screen that fills the entire browser window that is dark, somewhat transparent, and contains only the word CONTINUE with an X in the top right corner. The screen tends to appear when performing a Google search. Unfortunately I do not (yet) have a screen capture. Firefox is version 66.0.2.

Managed to get Tabs on Bottom in all previous updates (including FF65). Carried over ToB with FF66.0.2 update, but the whole line of tabs (including vertical separators) has shifted down about 1/3 of its height such that it bleeds into the immediate viewable screen. If the top of that viewable screen is black, for example, the tab titles are almost unreadable. Any advice? Appreciated.

I have tried several times to load and run the latest Firefox version. I downloaded the 32 bit version. It starts, then nothing happens. I have to close the program in task manager.

I did not have any issue until the last windows update and Firefox updating.

Hi. The crash is always reproduced when we are trying to start video capture using getUserMedia() and requesting the camera access. It crashed with our code and with all of official webrtc samples as well

There are two links to similar issues marked as resolved in our crash report mentioned at Bugzilla tab. Could you please let me know which version of Firefox will come with the fix for the issue

My WIX Store sells digital downloads - I have verified that since the latest Firefox Update - My Digital Downloads have the filename truncated (to only 4 characters) and the file extension is completely wiped out

DL still works fine in Chrome & Internet Exploder

How do you stop console commands from processing the same script after you are done? (it keeps going on in other tabs, days later, oops)

Is there a script that I can run, or a console command to stop user inputted Console commands?

I have discovered that anyhting i search for on my firefox browser on my laptop, shows up in the searches on my wifes phone which is using google.

I'm not signed in and canot see any connection between the two

I'm very confused ( and slightly worried)

MAC OS 10.11.4

1) when i open firefox - I get this error message - The application “Firefox” can’t be opened.

2) when I try to start firefox in safe-mode same message as above

3) when I try to run /Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox-bin -P The error message back /Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox-bin: Operation not permitted

4) When I trash can the firefox application and reinstall firefox - get the same error message as step 1

5) when I renamed Policies folder and then start firefox same error message as in item 1 above

6) when I trash can the firefox application with profile folder rename - and install firefox same as item 1

7) when I ran step 3 - the profile manger gui came up - then went away. when I ran step 3 again- I get the error in step 3

Please advise my options - I have bookmarks and security information I need to access - I made a copy of the Profiles folder before I started this process.

I would like to upload my Digital Edition Books into my Cloud, but with Firefox the button does not appear. With Microsoft Edge it works, but my Standard Browser is Firefox and I would like it to work

Why is this a feature without the option to disable when none of the other browsers has this feature?

It's really annoying trying to close a tab only to open a new one again because you middle clicked on the empty portion of the tab bar.

New three-dot button that was added to the addressbar can be tabbed to and has slowed down my productivity.

My usual hotkey combo to search is <ctrl+t> <tab> <type search string> <enter>. I understand I can replace <tab> with <ctrl+e> to access the searchbar, or that I can <tab> twice - I'm just wondering if there's a way to go back to how it was a few days ago, for muscle-memory-sake?

Addressbar buttons are not customizable via the toolbar customize mode.

Dose anyone know why the buttons for the Close, Minimize and Restore Down commands have disappeared from the top right corner of my Firefox window? Although, hovering over the area will still show the names of them. I am using it on a Toshiba laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium. Thanks in advance for any help.

As the Firefox window is loading in, the boxes and their names are visible for a second, and then they disappear. This issue showed up after I installed an update for Firefox. There was no problem before that, and I have this problem only in the Firefox window. All other windows display the boxes and their names properly.

On my dev system (windows), I have an apache server and a number of sites defined.

They are listed in the hosts file and also configured in httpd-vhosts.conf.

I have had to stay with an old version of Firefox for the last few years, as more recent versions refused to connect to the localhost sites. I have been "forced" to upgrade and am nolonger able to connect to the local sites. I precise that doing a ping to the site address will return the 127.0.0.1 address.

What do I have to do to get this important functionality working again, please ?

When I search for products, the only results displayed are from Amazon. I don't want Amazon results. I'd like a combination of any vendor except Amazon and physical stores that carry the product. How do I get these settings?

I have an Acer laptop that I'm about to send in for a warranty repair for several different issues. I was told by Acer that it will likely be reset/reformatted upon arrival. Also, I was informed that the laptop may be replaced with a completely different unit at their discretion.

I would like to obviously keep all of my Firefox info, history, bookmarks, etc. and be able to restore them to the computer when it is returned to me, be it the same laptop or a new one.

Can someone please instruct me on the proper way to do this?

Is it as simple as copying my Profile folder to another drive, and then reinstalling it after I reinstall Firefox back on the laptop (be it my original one or a new one) when it has been returned to me?

Do I need to use the Profile Manager?

I bought a used Lenovo to use while my Acer is in for repairs. Today, I think that I successfully synced the two of them. (I have a Windows phone and thus no Firefox app for my phone, and could not enter a phone number to "complete" the sync as instructed) but it seems to have worked.

Will the bookmarks, history, tabs, etc from my Acer disappear from showing up on the Lenovo when the Acer laptop is reset by the factory?

(Or should I even delete Firefox from that Acer that I am sending in just out of privacy/security concerns?)

Whenever I open a youtube video, the player will be paused. All I have to do is click it to start, but that's mildly inconvenient enough to bother me. This issue is present when all of my plugins/extensions/addons are disabled as well. It does not occur if I use Chrome.

I have post this questions a week ago but there is no response of my questions. I re-post it and hope someone could help to resolve the problem. The firefox v.65 crash , usually after 3o mins, when I have the new brought photoshop elements 2019 program running in the background. After crashed I try to restore the tab. However, firefox crash again right after restart and restore the tab. If I keep trying to restore the tab. The firefox has no response and freeze. A error message come out " video driver failed to restart ....... Sometime the computer get into blue screen and die. i find that the problem also happen with Microsoft Edge browser too. I google the possible issue of the crash and get some information regarding the crash. It may be cause by the photoshop element face detection feature use too much memory to run the program or the program has memory leak problem that cause firefox crash.

I did check my computer RAM memory and PC window system files. they did not show any error. I refresh firefox and reinstall my video driver. However, it make no change of the crash situation. The firefox crash and Blue screen die issues only happen if I run my photoshop element and premier 2019 program at the same time. Adobe support said that it was not photoshop element program problem for the firefox crash.

I want to find out what is the root problem of the crash and how to fix it. I also want to know any known issue firefox crash assoicated with photoshop elements program.
