Hi! Was just wondering if there was something preventing me from opening these kinds of pop-ups. Recently, I've been browsing old websites and noticed that links that are supposed to be pop-ups don't pop-up at all. Then, I tried to do the same on my website, and it still didn't work. I've pretty much done every solution I could find under the Sun, but none so far have worked whatsoever. Is this a new feature or is Firefox just being weird again?
Please help ;_; it's been stressing me out real bad for the past few hours!

The URL text box does not at times show the actual URL of the webpage displayed! See attached screenshot. If I click on the back button once and then the forward button, the issue is not resolved. If I click on the back button twice, and then on the forward button twice like last time, the correct URL is listed.
Please address. I have a related URL issue where if using the DuckDuckGo Search I cannot drag and drop the URL into my Bookmarks. I plan on asking another separate question about this.

My desktop (Windows 10) Firefox just updated to 145.0.1 and the right-click menu is defective. It has a bunch of blank lines, the only options listed are search DuckDuckGo, translate, and use AI. This ruins my browsing experience, since I can no longer open links in new tabs which is my favorite way of looking at newspaper home pages.

I'm having trouble opening urls in a private window from the command line on Windows 11.
Firefox version: 144.0.2
Starting a new private window works fine with "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -private-window
But doing: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -private-window "https://www.google.com"
just opens the link in the last selected window if the last window selected is non private it just opens the link there instead of a new or existing private window
I have also tried with no success: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -private "https://www.google.com"

I use Firefox on a Dell Windows 11 laptop. This morning, when I opened my Outlook email, I discovered that in-message links no longer opened in Firefox (my default browser). I've checked everything I and other people can think of on the Outlook end--I'm waiting for further suggestions there--but I'm wondering if some Firefox setting could be causing the problem. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I could start looking?

When I am on some webpages, and want to copy and paste a paragraph, of course I highlight it first -- but as of a couple of days ago, the links to pop-up boxes on the page will not highlight. If I go to the same page with Chrome, there is no problem. I can highlight links to other webpages, it is just the ones to pop-up boxes. I have checked and this problem is not machine-specific. I am on a laptop and I checked our desktop and it has the same problem. Perhaps the recent update changed something? I have attached a screenshot of a page from Ancestry.com with the problem -- on the left I have tried to highlight the whole thing, and, as you can see, the links are not highlighted, and if I copy and paste, the links do not work. Thanks for any help you can offer Jeanne

I can no longer alter text the URL address field! One of two things is happening: a) the URL address bar is completely obscured by a pull-down menu of suggestions; b) if there are no suggestions, a pop-up appears which simply is a copy of what is in the URL address bar, but no text editing can be achieved from this pop-up window, and this pop-up window 90% blocks the URL address bar. This behavior occurs the instant I click anywhere in the URL field. Not at all useful when I'm trying to delete metadata tagged on to the end of the URL!

A recent update (https://windowsreport.com/firefox-fixes-an-8-year-old-windows-bug-that-broke-virtual-desktop-use/) has broken behavior I previously depended on as part of my workflows: If I clicked a link in one desktop, it would open that link in the browser instance on the last desktop I'd used, so I could keep all my browser windows on one virtual desktop full-screened for easy viewing, then slide back to my other workspaces for messaging/writing/etc.
Now, apparently as a bug fix, every time I try to open a link on a desktop, it creates a new Firefox instance in that desktop instead of opening the link in the browser I have open on other workspaces. This has dramatically impacted how I work. How can I restore the previous behavior? It is so disruptive having new windows opening all the time instead of keeping them in my dedicated browser workspace. If there isn't a fix for this, I will need to move to a new browser.
