Rarely fetches emails automatically at 15 minutes. I can fetch manually. This has been going on before the last update. I haven't changed any settings. Sometimes it fetches when I open the app. Other times I must fetch manually. Also, we should be able to fetch sooner than 15 minutes.

Hello, For the past few days, I've been receiving three messages. My email provider (free.fr) tells me the problem isn't on their end and suggests I contact Thunderbird. Can you help me resolve this?

Recently my Thunderbird mail has been 'glitchy'.

Sometimes I receive audible alerts for emails, other times I don't.

Sometimes the number of new emails received is correct, other times it shows 4 new emails when, across all my accounts, the number is 2 (for example).

Are either or both of these known issues?

I also noticed when I was watching a live music stream on TikTok last week, I 'had' no emails for almost 2 hours. As soon as I left TikTok and closed my browser window emails 'arrived', one timestamped 45 minutes earlier. The settings for that account are set to check for emails every 5 minutes.

Could the Chinese be 'watching me' 😁 or is there another more innocent explanation?

Been getting a bunch of this, usually in my TB TRASH folder, I think from the Outlook online server.

The server couldn't retrieve the following message:

Subject: "Stephen Tanner"

From: "Not available" ("Not available")

Sent date: 10/31/2024 2:25:02 PM

The message hasn't been deleted. You might be able to view it using either Outlook or Outlook Web App. You can also contact the sender to find out what the message says.

What does this mean? Outlook or Thunderbird? What do I need to do?

Optus (Australia) emails can't be sent or received by Thunderbird on my PC via my Optus wifi internet connection. I can use emails on my phone via mobile data with wifi turned off (different email client on the phone, though). Optus checked all the settings on my PC with me and they are all correct. They insist that it is a Thunderbird issue (doubtful, IMHO) and that I contact you. Is there an issue with Thunderbird connecting with Optus email? If so. is there any resolution to the issue? If not, can you confirm no problem from your end so I can get back to them (again!)

Hi guys I do have various email address from hotmail and Gmail. After outlook did not synchronize all of my Hotmail mail accounts I wanted to switch to thunderbird.

Now I do have the following issue. I want to add a Gmail account into my thunderbird. After typing in email address and password I am being redirected to Google.. I click on further and then I see a white page and the website is not loading at all. Once i go back to thunderbird it says login not possible with OAuth. Whatever this means. How can I solve this?

I can't seem to get Thunderbird configured correctly to get the "send to" function to work. As in sending a file from the desktop. I checked the default file association, and it looks to be set correctly. Help! And thanks.

I have a Signature setup and it works great on NEW Emails, however, if I click on reply to an email the signature is not there. I have the checkbox checked for "Include signature for replies" but it doesn't seem to work. I've tried unchecking it, restarting the app, re-checking it and restarting again, still doesn't work.

After the installation of thunderbird in android all went well.

Then i try to sync all folders , 300, from my google account.

It seem is not like windows/linux, where you use the right button on the account and the process move on.

In android looks i can achive this, but doing one folder at time.

Is there any way to do this at once ?

I have been using Thunderbird for years for email accounts with Comcast (Xfinity), Yahoo, and gmail. Yesterday, I started having a problem with my Comcast accounts - when I sent a message, it went out, but I got an error message (attached) saying it couldn't save a copy to the Sent folder. Sending messages from my Yahoo account works fine. Sending messages from my gmail accounts, I get _two_ copies in the Sent folder (this is new).

I tried restarting my PC, and that didn't help. I tried Troubleshoot Mode, but that didn't help. I tried reinstalling Thunderbird, and that seemed to fix it, but then it started again. I tried compacting the folders, and that seemed to fix it, but then it started again.

I can connect to the Comast/Xfinity server fine, and things work. If I send an email from the server, a copy goes in the Sent file, and it then shows up in the Sent folder on my desktop. But emails that I send from the desktop don't show up in the Sent folder.

I am using a Dell XPS8950 with Windows 11.

I was working on my email accounts when the messages in the inbox of one of my email accounts disappeared. The message count on the top left of my inbox display says 0.

How do I get them to show up again.  I am using Thunderbird on Mac OS 15.6.1

Ever since thunderbird did its major upgrade to include encryption some years ago, when it resulted in my address book being lost, I've foung thunderbird harder to use, Emails get downloaded 2 znd 3 times over so I once had 40,000 emails in my in box the vast majority duplicates. After deleting most of themI was dismayed to have the double and triple downloading continue. I now the email on my angroid phone far more than Thunderbird because of this, sometimes when drafting emails the message screen goes god knows where when I go to find add address from my address book, There is yet a straight forward to rasily increase and decrease the font size in received emails. As my eyesight fails thay's an important omission to have to work around, Firefox has an app that adds buttons to increase and decrease font size, simple. Never understood why Thunderbird didn't have somwthing similar, Much more convenient than have to stop and search for my glasses,

I think a back to basics approach to Thunderbird rather then adding bells and whistles that may ne nice buy seldom used, I just learned gmail allows you to retract emails. Yhat's a feature that I will lead me to at least explore gmail. That's mt 2 cents,

Every time I open up Thunderbird email I get a message box which pops up saying " Sending of the Message failed An error occurred when sending mail. Were sorry but we cant send your email. etc, etc and "Please check by sending it again(6-1-1-2)

How do I find this message ? When I look at sent items in my mail , I have sent nothing and I am not aware of sending anything.
