The password that was accepted to log into Thunderbird now isn't accepting that password anymore, and when I try to send my father email, it givesves error message. It says, "Sending message from michael.moon@austin.rr.com has failed". Now it doesn't give me a prompt to log into Thunderbird.

Has anyone noticed a bug with Thunderbird if you repeatedly click cancel after the desktop app is launched. I decided I didn't want to access the mail box then clicked cancel and was represented with the password entry box multiple times and each time I clicked cancel to exit the app. After a number of repeated cancels, it eventually systematically opened each mailbox that has been unified in Thunderbird. Has anyone else had this experience?

Seit Ende Januar 2026 kann ich keine e-Mails mehr empfangen. Klicke ich auf den Button "Nachrichten empfangen", erscheint folgende Meldung: Anmeldung auf dem Server secureimap.t-online.de mit Benutzernamen "[edited]@t-online.de" fehlgeschlagen. Über mein Handy kann ich die eingegangen E-Mail ansehen. Warum auf meinem Laptop nicht?

Bisher habe ich noch nie ein Passwort eingegeben. Was muss ich machen?

The summary says it all, really. I've tried all sorts of Google searches and fixes, but nothing works; I was originally on Netscape Navigator, and after Microsoft killed that off, I went to Firefox and Thunderbird - so 'lost in the mists of time ' sums up my problem.

depuis le 10 mars 12 h ma boîte mail thunderbird ne reçoit plus aucun message et je ne peux en envoyer aucun. j'ai un message  : échec de l'authentification lors de la connection au serveur. Mon serveur Yahoo me demande de me reconnecter, ce qui s'avère impossible à faire. Je précise que je n'avais pas touché à mon compte en amont.

I need help setting my passwords in Mozilla and Firefox. I'm also confused as to what is the difference between the 2 entitities. If there is anyone to guide me would be appreciated.

I have been logged out of my gmail account on my iPad but am still logged into my gmail account on thunderbird. I would like to access my password so I can login on iPad or at least transfer my thunderbird account to ipad.

When I try retrieving my email from my AOL account (IMAP) using Thunderbird and Windows 11 I get the message "Authentication failure while connecting to server imap.aol.com." This account was working fine for months until the T-bird update. I have several other accounts on T-Bird, including Gmail and others, and they're still working just fine.

I have double-checked all the account settings and tried deleting the AOL account from T-Bird and setting it up again from scratch, but the problem persists.

When I checked the box to Require a Primary Password, I did not know this was an always and forever thing. I have found out that it is an every time I open my email in Thunderbird. I can not undo it. Is there not a way to get around this?

Starting this morning, I have been unable to access my email because no matter what i do or changes I try and make.....it does not recognize my password....even when I have changed it....even when I ask mail.com to refer to the saved passwords. NOTHING WORKS. I need to use this email....help. I notice that there is a request for you to email me when someone answers the thred.....funny considering I cannot get my email
