I am unable to us my Thunderbird email as it asks me to sign in but does not recognize my password and asks for my new password, which I don't know what it is as I have never made a new password, I need help to solve this problem.

I think I have wrong version of FireFox on computer, because I signed in with old password I think I used on old windows 8 computer. I have a windows 11 laptop.bold text

I can't seem to be able to access my Thunderbird E-mail account with Microsoft or Firefox. I made a #10.99 donation to Thunderbird/Firefox and now I can't access my E-mail.

An "enter sign in" page has appeared on my desktop screen today. Asks for confirmation code.

Screen is frozen.

What happened on YOUR end to do this? How do I remove it?

I have a number of email accounts with Thunderbird. All gmail ones are working fine but I am unable to access an outlook.com account on my PC as it keeps coming up as wrong password although I never changed it. The account works on my phone and ipad but not on the PC. How do I change the password on the PC?

I have the same problem as SIGNON has. I am using a different computer on a different wifi server than I usually do because I am traveling. The normal outgoing server (SMTP), default, is imap.gmail.com and the password was associated with that. However, when I try to send an email, it wants to log into smtp.gmail.com, and then tells me the password failed and cannot send the message. I cannot reset to the imap.gmail.com server.

I have a password. It works fine on Wave webmail. It fails on Thunderbird. It is not a typo, I am pasting it from my password storage.

How do I set a password in Thunderbird that works?

When I start up Thunderbird, I get a screen requesting details to log into a gmail account I no longer use or need. I can get rid of the screen by Alt F4, but there must be someway I can modify a script to stop this process. I've attached a screenshot of the display that keeps coming up every time I start Thunderbird. The problem may be linked to a Google Calendar I used to use at the same time I was using the gmail account. Somehow, and I don't remember how I did it, I removed the email address and folders for vk3frcweb@gmail.com, so wonder if there is a setting somewhere that I've missed.

I accept that this issue is entirely an operator error and not a Thunderbird error. Any suggestions are most welcomed.

Windows 11 and up to date using three accounts (One Pop3 and two IMAP). My Thunderbird application has suddenly refused to connect on this computer. I have three other computers and devices. They all connect easily. I have checked my log-in details and passwords, and done so comparing a laptops ability to log-in succesessfully and all details agree. I can log-in to my webmail account on all devices using the same details. amd I have updated Thunderbirdrd to the latest version. Nothing seem to work yet. Suggestions if possible would be fantastic please. Thanks. John

Hi I installed a new Windows but forgot my Firefox password. Please help me get my information back. I had multiple passwords and a long history in my account. I have been using Firefox for years. I can authenticate however you want. Please I need my information.

Hi, I am working on behalf of my dad to figure out what's going on with his Thunderbird client and trying to understand if it's a client issue, or an issue with his email address.

The e-mail address used belongs to The Messaging Company (as they have bought out iiNet/AAPT). There are issues where my dad is logged out constantly and has to retype his password, and sometimes is unable to send or receive mail. I have updated server in-going and out-going according to The Messaging Company's suggestion. I've attached screenshots.

Let me know what else I can do to troubleshoot if this is Thunderbird client or issues with the email service.

Relating to Thunderbird. Two email accounts, Gmail and Spectrum's "mail.twc.com", required setting up with Thunderbird. Gmail was no problem with immediate success. "mail.twc.com" was another matter. This particular account is setup and working on 3 Apple devices under IOS yet Thunderbird will not allow 'sign in' during 'texardvark@twc.com' - using SAME settings. Web searches reveal settings that should work however they don't correspond to options provided during Thunderbird setup. In particular, there is a log-in failure using same login credentials as IOS.

This problem is not earthshaking as I can use TWC Webmail w/o any problems, just not through Thunderbird. I'm primarily providing this information toward your development efforts. I used Thunderbird with Linux and was pleased. Thought I'd give it a try on PC Windows 11.
