My Mozilla Thunderbird calendar syncs with my GMail calendar and also includes some holiday dates. It has just gone completely blank - no entries from any of the calendars. I've tried synchronizing it, but it says "no messages to download". What's gone wrong? I've seen the replies to other similar questions which say go to Options Advanced but I can't see an Advanced option in my Options. Thanks.

J'ai néanmoins essayé de paramétrer un nouvel agenda Thunderbird en suivant le descriptif trouvé ici https://support.gmx.com/organizer/synchronizing/synchronizing-thunderbird.html mais aucune synchronisation ne se fait. Events are currently displayed in the calendar & Today Pane with the corresponding calendar color filling the event banner and the category color only showing as a small sliver on the right side of the banner. Is there a way to reverse this display? I would prefer the event banner to be the category color with the calendar color as a small sliver. Screenshots attached.

For some weeks Thunderbird Calendar won’t sync with Yahoo Calendar. I can’t seem to log into Yahoo Calendar from Thunderbird either. Every time I start Thunderbird I have to dismiss the Calendar attempts to log into Yahoo Calendar. Did something change or am I doing something wrong? I can’t get past

I am unable to get Thunderbird to download/access my mail.com calendar. What am I missing? I tried to download the Lightning extension add-on but it was not compatible with my version (78) of Thunderbird.

I tried switching to a dark theme today, but all I succeeded in doing is losing the neat column on the right of my inbox page. I went back to my default theme, but that made things worse, because now my line spacing was too high.

I finally found an extension named Monterail Dark which was apparently turned on when I switched to my dark theme. It is the only extension that is shown on my system. Turning it off got me back to where I was before I started monkeying. HOWEVER, my calendar reminder column on the right side of my Inbox display is now missing and I cannot get it back!

I remembered I used to have an add-on called ReminderFox which doesn't appear on Thunderbird anymore! I tried to download it and it said it cannot load with my current configuration. Remember, the system was fine before I started! Is ReminderFox what gave me my calendar reminder?

Can someone please help? I've spent several hours on this and am totally frustrated. I am 82 and these reminders are vitally important to me!

the question in the window popup is : required authentification Mozilla Thunderbird : the site https://caldav.calendar.yahoo.com asks for a username and password . The site indicates : « YahooCalendar » very strange it seems the password is not stored somewhere or Yahoo rejects the authentification .. thanks for your help Philippe

I've uninstalled, reinstalled, tried everything I could find online - nothing enables my calendar in 78.7.0! Anyone have any ideas?

When creating a new event on the calendar, you can selected a category from a pull-down list. One of the items is "Add a new catagory", and I can select this and type in my new catagory i.e. Dentist and this is stored as part of the new event data. My problem is that I can't figure out how to save this new list with my category in it so I can use the same category on the next new event to be created.

My TB Calendar is suddenly not saving changes I make to tasks such as changing the date or marking as completed. It appears to make the changes all right but the next time I open the calendar everything has gone back to it's original state. Anybody know what might be wrong? This makes the calendar useless as for example I'm getting reminders for all the recurring tasks I've completed and the wrong dates.

Hi there, Thunderbird 78.5.0 on Win 10 Pro. In the past I used to drag and drop downloaded .ics files to Events and Tasks sidebar in order to load events onto Thunderbird. After update this won't work anymore as the file is seen as an event attachment (somehow "nested" into the event itself, see attached image). When I try to open the ICS file instead, the Import Event button produces no effect (no event loaed in the calendar view) while the Import All shows a generic import failed error (2nd attachment). Any idea on what's happening? Many thanks!

TB 78.6.1 ESR from openSuse 15.1 opens a blank event window when I drag and drop an ICS file onto the calendar pane. Dropping an ICS there used to not only open a record but also fill in the fields of date, time, and location. Was there a change in how to import events in the calendar? Did I miss the memo ?  :-) Thanks.

Installation of Thunderbird 78.6.1 disabled Lightning Calendar connection with Google. Provider for google Calendar is operational, No Lightning updates are compatible with this version (I understand Lightning might be included in the Tb download (?), but the only solution was to reinstall Thunderbird 78.6.0 and then all was well again. Help Please. Or is this subject for a bug report?

Since the update to Thunderbird 78 my CalDav calender cannot be activated anymore. It appears grey in the calendar list. I checked on multiple computers and my colleagues have the same problem. Is there a way to fix this?

Right now when i accept a meeting invite it defaults to adding the meeting to my 'home' calendar. I've installed the google calendar add-on so that I can synch my calendar with my iphone. (it works well) By invites defaulting to my 'home' calendar (and I can't go in an change the calendar the event is attached to) it means I can't see the meeting in my google calendar (and thus my iphone). It is weird because my brother has check boxes beside the calendars (where listed on the far left of the screen below a small monthly calendar - with no events) but I don't. we are using the same version of thunderbird.

I used to be able to drag an event that was part of a recurring task to a different day or even time. I.e. if I had an event that occurred at 8 AM every Monday I could drag it to 10 AM on any particular Monday. It would work the same way as 'edit only this occurrence'. Now I can drag it just like before and it looks right until I restart Thunderbird and then it ends up at the original time as it is set for the series. If I double click and 'edit only this occurrence' it will persist after a restart. Dragging an event that is not part of a series still works as it should and persists after a restart. Is there some configuration setting or something that controls this or is it a bug with the latest release? I'm using version 78.6.1.

I recently got a new computer and after downloading Thunderbird, successfully migrated my data so my email and calendar are available to me. I decided to add the Canadian Holidays calendar, by subscribing to the one on the page that Thunderbird Help directed me to, which at first glance seemed to work. Then I noticed that there are no holidays identified past New Year's Eve 2020. All the holidays up to that point seem to be indicated correctly, but nothing exists in this calendar past Dec. 31, 2020. I know 2021 is not off to a good start, but I'm pretty sure I would have noticed if there'd been an announcement that all future holidays had been cancelled. I also tried downloading the calendar and adding it to Thunderbird as a calendar stored on my computer, but that didn't solve the problem. To make sure I'd followed the subscribe to a calendar instructions correctly, I subscribed to the USA holiday calendar and it works as expected. Sadly, Canadian holidays are not identical to the US ones, so it's only a passable workaround.

Can anyone suggest a fix?

Good Morning! I installed Thunderbird Beta version 85, which in its release says "Address book: Added support for OAuth2 CardDAV providers".

As Google also reported that it implemented CardDav, and then I understood that when setting up my google account on Thunderbird Beta version 85, it would also import my contacts, in addition to email messages.

Did I get it wrong, or do I have to execute a specific command / procedure for importing contacts from my google account?

I used the gContactSync extension before, but it stopped working after version 73.

Please ask for help, to import my contacts. Thank you very much, Luciano

I'm keen to take advice - is there a way to make the current date REALLY stand out in my month view? I'd like it to be very obvious when I'm looking at January, to see where I am in time, please!

Per the graphic provided, a slightly darker bar for today's date is easily lost on a busy calendar.
