I am using FF 158 on Win11

I noticed that apps after login are being restored with my previous session even if i close the browser and restart the browser!

ways to reproduce the problem: - Login to an app - Exit the browser, ensure the Firefox.exe is not running using Task Manager - Restart the browser and go to the same app URL. - At this point I expect the app to prompt for a password again (It does prompt for a login on Chrome and other browsers including FF 154) however on FF 158 the session is still active!

I have checked the settings in FF 158 and disabled the restore Tabs option on startup however the bug still exists.

This is a serious security issue. Kindly investigate and address

I have a proper profile stored in an backup and 1 *.msf wasn´t restored on the new computer, but it is needed as soon as possible. My tries to restore it wasn´t successfull, there are no needed things to restore. The needed msf is located in the new profile, and I can´t see the item. As much as I hate ads on YouTube I don't want Firefox to block the ads because if they find out you are blocking ads they will block you from Google and YouTube. I have Google pages and other things on their sites that have been there for years. Plus, I feel like I'm stealing a service by not lets the ads run that pays their bills and the content creators on YouTube. Please tell me where in Firefox I can turn the ads back on.

I have used Mozilla products since Netscape Navigator came out in 1995 I think it was. I went to a local internet provider and brought home a 3.5in Diskette and it loaded Netscape Navigator with my info all filled in for email, Usenet, Webpage publishing and a few Bookmarks to get started. I still use SeaMonkey for my email because it still has email addresses from the 1990's. I have Thunderbird for email on my phone. Anyway, thank you for all your work over the years. Everything is fine in this browser but when I go to print to save the pdf, the paper size in it is only supported by A4 and the page landscape mode also does not work, it remains A4 size and portrait only.It also doesn't work properly in desktop mode, sometimes hanging, making desktop mode and printing from mobile extremely difficult. Please fix this.

I use passkeys for many online services, they are stored in my Android phone. I use the same Firefox version on two Win 10 Enterprise LTSC 21H2 machines and one Win 11 Pro 25H2 machine. On the Win 10 machines QR passkeys don't work with Firefox, but work with other browsers. Firefox suggests USB-device-based passkey logon only. On the Win 11 machine Firefox offers both phone-generated QR passkey and USB-device-based passkey logon options. Why Firefox doesn't support phone-generated QR passkey on Win 10? Can it be changed in config?

I'm experiencing an issue with how Firefox displays date and time input fields on websites when using Hebrew (Israel).

• • Environment:**

- Firefox version: 158.0 (64-bit) - Operating system: Windows - Browser interface language: Hebrew - Regional locale: he-IL

• • The problem:**

Date fields are displayed in the format YYYY.MM.DD (for example, 2026.10.14) instead of DD/MM/YYYY (14/10/2026).

Time fields also sometimes display their components in an incorrect order, apparently due to right-to-left (RTL) handling.

This issue occurs across multiple websites, including the standard HTML date input example on MDN, so it is not specific to any particular website.

• • Troubleshooting already performed:**

1. Verified Windows regional settings: Hebrew (Israel), short date format dd/MM/yyyy, and time format HH:mm. 2. Verified Firefox regional preferences show he-IL. 3. Tested intl.regional_prefs.use_os_locales with both true and false. 4. Tested intl.locale.requested with he,en-US, he-IL,en-US, and he-IL. 5. Changed the preferred website language order to prioritize he-IL. 6. Restarted Firefox after making changes.

Unfortunately, the date issue persists, and the time field display is also inconsistent.

• • Expected behavior:**

Date fields should display DD/MM/YYYY, and time fields should display HH:mm in the correct visual order, while keeping the Firefox interface in Hebrew.

Could you please confirm whether this is a known Firefox bug and whether there is a supported workaround or a planned fix?

I was referred here from Thunderbird Bugzilla report 2081665.

We are experiencing a recurring problem with Thunderbird 153 on several Windows workstations in a business environment.

The important point is that the problem also occurs with completely new Thunderbird profiles created from scratch. It is not limited to migrated or old profiles.

On one workstation this has already happened to three separate Thunderbird profiles.

Typical sequence:

1. Thunderbird 153 is installed. 2. A completely new profile is created. 3. Mail accounts are configured manually. 4. Everything initially works normally. 5. After some time the profile begins to malfunction. 6. Thunderbird Settings no longer open/respond. 7. The address books still exist, but address autocomplete when composing a new message stops working. 8. Creating another new profile temporarily fixes the problem, but the same behavior can return later.

Troubleshooting already performed:

- Troubleshoot Mode - extensions disabled - tested without the existing prefs.js - rebuilt Thunderbird caches and profile UI state - recreated indexes/databases - completely removed Thunderbird from Program Files, AppData\Roaming and AppData\Local - clean Thunderbird installation - clean profile created from scratch - Thunderbird executable and profile paths added to Kaspersky Endpoint Security trusted applications/exclusions

Removing prefs.js from an already affected profile did not restore the Settings window.

A clean test profile initially works correctly.

We have also encountered this behavior on other workstations. Some users have more than 100 message filters and many folders, so rebuilding profiles repeatedly causes significant administrative work.

Several affected computers had Windows user accounts renamed in the past.

We also experienced a separate issue where the Attach File dialog stopped appearing while drag-and-drop still worked. Bugzilla identified this as the already known Bug 2077590, so I consider that a separate issue.

For comparison, after completely cleaning Thunderbird from an affected workstation and installing Thunderbird 115.3.1 with a clean profile, the same workstation currently works normally.

Because freshly created Thunderbird 153 profiles can later develop the same problem again, simply recreating the profile does not appear to be a permanent solution.

Environment:

- Windows workstations - Thunderbird 153 ESR - Kaspersky Endpoint Security - multiple IMAP accounts - business environment

What diagnostic information should I collect from the next affected profile before replacing it?

- Thunderbird Troubleshooting Information - Error Console output - profile file names/sizes/timestamps - Windows Event Viewer logs - sanitized prefs.js - comparison with a working fresh profile

It seems encoding in my Thunderbird does not match 8bit. Several years ago Thunderbird had an option to modify text encoding but I cannot find such an option in the recent versions. It would be really appreciated if anyone help. Thank you.

Firefox icon issue

There are two websites. On my PC, one of them displays its icons correctly everywhere: on tabs, in Firefox Suggest, and in the browsing history. However, the other website only displays its icon on tabs.

On my phone, the situation is reversed: the website that displays its icons correctly on my PC doesn't show them on my phone, while the website whose icon only appears on tabs on my PC displays its icons correctly on my phone.

I've tried various solutions on my PC, including removing the website from my browsing history and creating a new favicon file, but the problem persists.
