Can wiping data (cache, history, etc.) on one profile wipe flash cookies on another profile?

I have two Firefox profiles. I completely wiped history, cache and cookies on on and now I see that my flash cookies are gone from the other profile (for example my Flash games progress). I know that it's not a big issue to loose some flash game progress, but this can be potentially harmful for other flash content.

Flash stores its own cookies in the Flash local storage and that is shared between all browsers that use the Flash plugin.
So best is to avoid using "Clear history when Firefox closes" to clear the cookies and let all cookies expire when you close Firefox.
You can create an allow cookie exception for cookies that you want to keep.

Thank you for your answer. I know how flash cookies work and you confirmed my knowledge on that subject. I think that it should be stressed when cleaning history and cache that it will wipe flash cookies for all profiles, not only the active one that the action is performed from.

A plugin is installed globally and doesn't know about browsers and different profiles, so you need to be careful with plugins that use their own storage to store data locally. This is apart from the browser cookies that will be send if the HTTP response headers ask set set cookies.

Sure, but if Firefox is clearing something that is global and can impact other profiles and applications it should warn user.
