in the last month yahoo changed their home webpage and ever since then firefox has behaved strangely. It no longer recognizes the login page as secure with a green label and no longer automatically supplies usernames and passwords from the password vault. Nor does it ask if I want to save a username and password. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks george

The autocomplete=off attribute affects saving the name and password, but also prevents Firefox from auto-filling the name and password.

Firefox won't auto-fill a saved name automatically when autocomplete=off is used, so you need to double-click the empty name field to get a drop-down list.

Cor-el OK problem completely solved. I thought I was double clicking before but I guess it was not working because I had not closed the browser and restarted. thanks for all the help.
