If the problem started after updating Firefox, you might be blocking Firefox in your security program. See the Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet article.
For other ideas, see Firefox can't load websites but other browsers can
I cannot figure out what the problem is. Most of the articles are about the windows version firefox. I am using android version.
Sorry, your system details show
android 2.1 Firefox 10.0.2 Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.1-update1; zh-tw; MB525 Build/JRDNEM_U3_2.51.0) AppleWebKit/530.17 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/530.17
I thought you were posting a question using your mobile phone running android because you couldn't access the Internet with your desktop computer. I'll add "using android version." to your question title.

Hi dontspider,
I'm sorry you're having this problem with Firefox for Android. It sounds like you had a problem getting to web sites, so you uninstalled Firefox mobile and now you are unable to install it?
Is that correct?
Can you check in your Android Settings -> Manage Applications to be sure Firefox isn't installed? Then, try again to go to the Android market application to download and install it, if so?
Thanks, Michelle
Oh...i can re-install firefox normally. But it still doesn't work. I still cannot iae forefox to connect any website.
Hi,
Have you tried installing Firefox Beta from the market to see if it works? This obviously doesn't fix the problem you are having with Firefox 10 for mobile, but it might get you up and running again. Meantime, I'll ask the quality engineering team if they have heard about this problem with the moto defy and version 10.
Thanks, Michelle
Yes, i had tried to install the beta version. But. it was the same response. WhEn i key in a website, it just no response or connect, even any error message. All other programs or internet action were fine, included facebook app, whats app, mail app. So tired and flustrated.
Hi,
That does sound frustrating, especially since it was working for you before. So, if you tap the address bar and pick something from your bookmarks or history, it also won't load any of those pages?
Thanks, Michelle
Hi again,
So, I just spoke with one of the developers and he thinks this is a bug that was reported in the past, which was so hard to pin down it wasn't fixed. Something where a process gets stuck, essentially. I'm sorry that I cannot provide you with a suitable workaround.
We have since built a new version of the Firefox mobile application from the ground up that is not yet available on the android market (but will be in the coming weeks). The new, unstable version is available on our ftp site, to try it out, you can get it from here: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Platforms/Android#Download_Aurora
Note that you'll have to enable downloads of non-market applications in Android and you'll need to make updates manually.
Thanks, Michelle
There ia no history or any tab anymore since i re-installed firefox and i cannot go anywhere due to the problem. iwill try the new one and let you know how it works as soon as possible. Thanks.
I am so glad to tell you that it finally moved with either aurora or nightliy greatly. Thank you so much. But can you tell me what exactly the problem is? Is there any conflict between my phone or certain apps or websites? If i know there the point is, maybe i can be careful to prevent such a disaster happening. Thanks.
I have the same problem just after upgrading on Firefox for android v14. Uninstall/reinstall does not change anything, i just can not get on a website. Trying to get on http://www.google.fr or on the firefox' assistance site, the tab keeps showing the loading circle and that's all.
If i can help you reproduce the bug...
My system: Android 4.0.4 on Galaxy Nexus
same problem as dakor -- no website loads, just the progress circle. I tried to go to "about" to see the version of firefox i just installed but that cause a crash every time. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, but nothing. other browsers are fine. also using the nexus (is there a difference between a "nexus" and a "nexus s" listed on the compatibility chart?)
Idem, trying to go to the about section causes crash every time.
Please comment your findings in bug 769269 which has been filed to track this issue.
