When using Firefox the top menu links, eg in Google images, videos, map etc, of a web page are not activated using the mouse. This does not happen when using Internet Explorer as all links are available.

A notification can up about some type of script, which then disappeared before I could take a note. After this the top links on all web pages would not operate using the mouse cursor. This is only the links on a web page not on the menu bar or tabs above.

To see if this happened on another browser I opened pages using Internet Explorer and the links on all pages open operated using the mouse. That sugested it was a problem with Firefox.

I uninstalled Firefox and installed a new application of the latest edition of Firefox, but the problem still persists.

Any known cure for this problem.

That problem can be caused by the Yahoo! Toolbar that extents too much downwards and covers the top part of the browser window and thus makes links in that part of the screen not clickable.
