Old issue keeps notifying me of solutions(anonymously) and the link to stop does not function
This being the second time I am filling this out is also annoying but I attempted to get the correct info about my system-the issue is that I continue to be notified of an old issue "Bookmarks and toolbar buttons not working after upgrade" and I think that was when I moved from Firefox 2 to the next step and was a total newbie to Firefox not knowing that things can get worse prior to getting better at times. I simply want these messages to stop and the link offered does not work. Instead it takes me to a country which uses different characters than our letters and so the only thing I got from the answer to the link was the number 404 which I think in any country means "did not work" so all of this time still has not stopped the messages that I do not need.
This happened
A few times a week

This is the exact message that I get- I AM the person who originated this problem-please stop it as it has no relevance to my life in 2010 but did many years ago. When I clicked on the link, it said 404 and the rest I could not read nor could I read any other part of the site I was on at that point. Perhaps it works now and if so, please delete me from the notifications list! I get enormous volume of email & have no need of this continuing. Thanks in advance. I never said that my problem was solved but at the end of all of that information, it clearly states that "This answer solved my problem" This is exactly how problems remain the same for all these years. People get annoyed that a great deal of time has been wasted already and just give up rather than staying with it until the resolution is found. I am really sick of this dumb issue being the thing that is absorbing hours of my time. I do not have it to lose but I have to get this stopped, along with a few other hundred or so such messages that contribute nothing helpful. Email can be very helpful in life but when all the junk starts to be filling all of your hours which it is today, I lose my enthusiasm for the whole technology. So, please do not set up your system to lie about having solutions when only the description of the issue has been done. With that in the page, no one will ever take any time to resolve this issue. I am unwilling to send anymore information. I better have a solution though after all this time describing in detail what this issue includes. Bye, S
I think that what the person did, DID solve the problem! At least I was taken to a site where I could confirm something which is more than I have ever seen so far. It did not say what I was confirming but it looks like progress to me. Thanks for the help to the person who happened to be paying attention. Since I an a curious person, I am curious about who or what people are represented in the letters ar/kb could it be Afghanistan or Kabul? I do not know such country codes and I didn't know there were city codes and there probably are not but it does not matter. I feel that someone was paying attention and I now have resolution to my issue. I am so very relieved and thanks again to you for being there and knowing what was wrong with the link. I hope this helps other people although I hope that there are not hordes of people who have such a problem that is hanging around for years bothering them such as this did for me. One issue solved for today -PROGRESS! I feel good now.
