When I try to open several websites at one time or multiples of same site which I always could do until now the program simply replaces the first with the next. Unable to move from one to the other at random which denies me the benefit of cross checks of data.

This happened

Every time Firefox opened

== Hitherto it has been possible to open several websites at one time, now it is only possible to have one site open at any time.

The default behavior in most browsers when simply left-clicking on a bookmark or a link is to open the new page/site in the currently selected tab. Some extensions can change that behavior. You did not list your extensions, so I can not see if you have one that you may not have the options set to perform as you wish.

There are built-in functions in firefox to open links and/or bookmarks in a new tab, in Windows: -right-click on the link or bookmark and choose "Open in New Tab" -middle-click on the link or bookmark (middle-click = press the scroll wheel -Ctrl+click the link or bookmark

To enter an address in the URL/location/address bar and open it in a new tab, enter the address in the URL bar and press Alt+Enter.
