When signing in to eBay, I get an error message stating that there was an error in my input when I attempted to sign in... which also brings up the sign in page again... had no problems prior to the Firefox Security Update 3.6.6..... I can "claim " I forgot my password and using the forgotten password link... get into My eBay... but if I log out and then sign back in a day later... it's the same old thing all over again.... this browser is becoming as much a problem as Internet Explorer has been for years... Firefox used to be simple, straightforward and fast... now, there is little difference between it and the Microsoft hog... IE

Until a few days ago, I had to sign in twice to www.ebay.ca to get in once. Since a few days, I don't even get that opportunity anymore. Instead I get an ebay message "There was an error in your input. Please go back and ensure that all fields are properly filled in." This is going from bad to worse. What's up with that, Firefox? If this doesn't get fixed pronto, I'll be looking for another browser.

(Apple iMac, Mac OS/X version 10.5.8, Firefox 3.6.6)

Perhaps I'll just start using another (not EI) browser.

I have the identical problem that Scott Kuyper has. The circumstances are exactly the same. Firefox worked for many years with Ebay and now it gives me "Input error", despite th fact that my password and user name are correct. I have reluctantly switched to IE which seems to work just fine.

I have a another problem since yesterday, where I installed Firefox 3.6.6 (Windows Vista). Ebay messaging no longer works. It does come up with the 'message screen', but the block where I enter my message text does not appear. Having to send this message urgently I had to switch to IE, which is working fine.

It seems the only solution is to uninstall 3.6.6 and go back to the previous version which worked beautifully.

I have the same problem with the 'input error' message. I thought it was an eBay problem until I tried logging in with Safari - no problem at all. Can the wonderful Mozilla boffins fix this soon, please?

Same issue with sign-in... if I skip the sign-in page and go directly to ebay, I appear to be already signed in. I click on sign-out every time and never use the leave me signed-in foe today option.

My browser is set to delete history and cookies every time I close, but after live chatting with ebay help, it appears this may not be happening. Went to preferences, show cookies and there was a long list and have only had short time in browser this session with only 3-4 sites visited????

Same problem as all the rest. This trouble does not reside with Ebay. as I have no difficulties logging in while using Internet Explorer 8.

On a different machine I am running Linux Fedore 13 and Firefox 3.6.10 with the same results. Therefore the problem is not OS related either.
I have a feeling this has something to do with re-direction, but can't prove it due to lack of knowledge.

Any computer tech would know that it is likely not firefox causing this issue, but an incompatibility with a new ebay sign-in page and the firefox browser. The browser only does what the code on the page tells it to. I have seen the issue with other sites that work with IE or with Safari, but not firefox and some that work with firefox and IE but not Safari, it is the web developer's fault for the page that isn't working, not your browser.

---It is possible that it is a firefox issue, but it is most likely an issue with the webpage itself. I do not have a problem signing into ebay at all with firefox.

I am guessint that you use a simple sign in procedure without a PayPal security key?

This problem is definitely due to the way Firefox handles the procedure. Testing with Internet Explorer is successful, Using an operating system other than Windows with Firefox also failed,

Therefore the trouble is independent of operation systems as well.

The fact that Firefox allowed logging in with previous versions points an accusing finger as well.
