Im trying to manually import some add-ons into firefox: i have an off-line computer i use for development, i cant add any add-ons from the firfox site to this computer as it is off-line, so i use FEBE environment back up to export the add-ons from this on-line machine, and take them over to the off-line computer on a drive. I have tried dropping the xpi files into the plugins folder and restarting firefox, but no luck.

Anybody have any suggestions? Is there a way of telling firefox to look locally for add-ons? Rather than it looking to the firefox site?

Have searched a bit but found nothing.

When you are at the AddonsMozilla.Org website, right-click the + Add to Firefox button and use Save Link As... to save the XPI file to your PC or Flash device.

3 ways to install an extension that you have saved: 1. File > Open File 2. Drag the XPI file into the browser window. 3. Place the XPI file in the \extensions\ folder, in your Profile folder. http://support.mozilla.com/en-us/kb/Profiles#How_to_find_your_profile

I would just move the entire profile. See Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles
