This is not a Thunderbird issue. What your OS is attempting is to find the program that is set to open files with the .net suffix. For example, wordprocessing documents end in .doc or .dox x, and spreadsheets tend to use the .xls suffix. So, I suggest you contact the sender to find out what program to use for a file ending in .net. That is not a thunderbird issue. Good luck. :)
