The last update (which was VERY rocky... I had to reinstall and functionality has NOT been great since) eliminated the Bookmarks icon from the top ribbon. I've looked through settings, but find no way to restore it. Can it be restored? I now have to click the menu, Settings, and THEN Bookmarks.

Hi,

If you are referring to the Bookmarks Toolbar, see the first section of this article on how to restore it. If not, could you please clarify?

I don't like the, to me, NEW bookmark toolbar. Previously, I've had an ICON that, when clicked, displayed my list of bookmarks. That was infinitely more functional, and if possible I'd like to be able to restore that functionality.

Sorry for getting back to you so late. If you click the toolbar, select Customize Toolbar..., and then drag the Library icon to your toolbar, is that what you are looking for?
