Every time I open up Thunderbird email I get a message box which pops up saying " Sending of the Message failed An error occurred when sending mail. Were sorry but we cant send your email. etc, etc and "Please check by sending it again(6-1-1-2)

How do I find this message ? When I look at sent items in my mail , I have sent nothing and I am not aware of sending anything.

After repairing the Outbox I just powered off the PC and switched off completeely from the mains , (it's a desktop so had no power for 15 minutes). Then I switched on at the power socket and booted up the PC . I then opened Thunderbird as I do on a normal day and there was NO message. So that seems to have solved it . So many thanks fo ryour help.

Can you send us a screenshot of these Smtp settings of yours if these are not okay? Is your SMTP setting OK?

Do you use other email providers in combination with thunderbird? With what ones can i ask ?Outlook or Gmail?

What kind of antivirus do you have installed on that PC or laptop? May I ask? is it McAfee? How much accounts do you have exactly?

Try sending the recipient with other email providers to see if it's really an error related to Thunderbird. Mostly not.try to send other sort of files with no links attached in data files or more little ones at a time. Okay , you did not send these data at all , okay.

Removing that file that you should had sanded to others if it had worked normally. Can you remove that file temporarily and restart thunderbird with the same settings? Send a little file to other recipients then , to other people/recipients or a test email to your self. I think this is normally possible to do ? Am i right?

After reviewing this issue.

It seems to be about that server sided issue here. Vpn services could be wrong and detect you as wrong. Sending that file as a draft could create errors. Did this error appeared more frequently lately. Some users did report that these symptoms did vanished after multiple days of waiting.

To solve or resolve this issue is to check the data that had to be send and remove spammy language s and not valid or suspicious links to. Or use that text that i written above in the first reply. Can you understand this? You attached files within the data to send do have or had possible spam links or other that normally exist on spam lists.

I have not sent any email from my account since 10/12. THis message appears when I open Thunderbird. I cannnot remove any spam because I do not know what message the suspected spam is in. I have no emails to send . I have no drafts waiting to go. So I don't have a clue what is causing this message.

I repeat this message appears when I boot up my PC and open Thunderbird. At that point I have not sent any email. I have no email waiting to be sent . I cannot check the email because I have not sent anything at that point. I have since sent email and have not had that message. But when I restart the PC and open Thunderbird I get the message again.

Okay, what we going to do is to navigate to your outbox. There suppose to be email that are stuck in the outbox. Navigate to your outbox and delete that complete outbox or find that single email that is bothering and delete that message ,that is giving you that message over and over again. I just explained and ask you little how it can become or became it like this , now we remove the issue . After removing the mail from the outbox it should be solved. Restart thunderbird after this.🎅

Try to low down i do mean put these scans to a lower level in that the antivirus software , while solving this step by step. Try this if possible , if this issue still exists after that , then you should repair the outbox.

Okay,can you now disable the antivirus software for a while? Do you have antivirus software installed, okay turn it off. Restart or boot that operating system again perhaps in safe mode and start that thunderbird software in trouble shoot mode. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-mode-thunderbird And see for us then : if there still is , that same error again?that you wrote about.
