Need to revert back to previous version.
Once again, upgrading this browser has had issues. I seem to remember some issues about reverting back....

What issues are you encountering in Firefox 141?
It's not recommended to revert to older versions, but if Firefox 140 worked well for you, you could migrate your data to the Extended Support Release of Firefox 140. See: Switch to Firefox Extended Support Release (ESR) for personal use.
First it was just Facebook that stopped working. Now, all new tabs crash right away...
I was using 132, I think due to the myriad of issues whenever upgrading this browser. Thanks
We're sorry to hear that your Firefox seems to be crashing when you open it. Please perform the following steps to give us a crash report ID that helps us find out more about the cause of the crash.
- On the keyboard, press [Windows]
+ [R]. This should bring up a Run box that contains a text field.
- In that text field, type %APPDATA% and press Enter. An explorer window should open.
- From that explorer window, double-click on the Mozilla folder, then double-click on Firefox and then on Crash reports. Double-click on submitted.
- Now, you should see a list of files that contain reports. Go to View > Arrange Icons by > Modified to get the most recent files at the top of the window.
- Open the most recent 5 files with a text editor and copy the IDs.
- Paste each ID with bp- into the reply window on the forums.
Thanks in advance!
You can find more information and troubleshooting steps in the Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly) article.

Thank you for the links.
The first one was for Firefox 141 and mentions:
"Unhandlable OOM while clearing document dependent slots."
OOM = Out of memory. This is not based on performing math, but indicates that Windows declined to allocate more memory Firefox when it requested it, which causes a crash. Restarting Windows might help with this.
The second one was for Firefox 132, so that's probably not relevant to the current situation.
So, uh, about my question...???
It sounds like restarting to free up memory didn't help.
You also could test in Firefox's Troubleshoot Mode. In that mode, Firefox temporarily deactivates extensions, hardware acceleration, any userChrome.css/userContent.css files, and some other advanced features to help you assess whether these are causing the problem.
If Firefox is running:
You can restart Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode using either:
- "3-bar" menu button > Help > Troubleshoot Mode...
- (menu bar) Help menu > Troubleshoot Mode...
and OK the restart. A small dialog should appear. Click the Open button.
If Firefox is not running:
Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox. (On Mac, hold down the option/alt key instead of the Shift key.) A small dialog should appear. Click the Open button.
Note: Don't use the Refresh without first reviewing this article to understand what will be deleted: Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings.
Any improvement?
Not interested in any of that. Just wanna go back to a version that worked.
Like many people, I use Firefox because it allows me to customize it the way I want. If I was gonna use a browser "as is out of the box", it would not be Firefox. That's just how it is. When each new release causes more problems than it solves, well that's a pretty big problem.
Now I get that Mozilla coders are a hard working lot, immensely proud of their work, as they should be. But much more needs to be done to attend to the needs of the legacy users like myself, folks who have been here since damn near the beginning. My first computer came with Netscape 1.0, and I haven't looked back. After 31 years, I don't want to change now. I just want my browser not to get worse with each new release.
Thanks.
Ended up googling the question, thanks all....
