
Connecting to iDrive on Synology NAS fails
The iDrive backup app on my synology nas is accessed via a web browser over my local network using an ip address. It has a two step security setup. First to enter Synology credentials and then iDrive's. After entering the iDrive credentials, all I get is a spinning wheel. It is supposed to present a box to enter a validation code, sent to me by email (which I get). The box is never shown.
The process works in Chrome and Edge successfully. I contacted iDrive support and they told me that since it fails only in Firefox, that I should contact the browser vendor.
There is no error message.
I tried clearing my browser cache, restarting Firefox and my computer, none of which helped.
Please can you advise me?

Update: same issue on newly installed Windows 11 system with fresh install of Firefox.
The only error I do get is a certificate warning from the Synology NAS, when I first enter the address for the IDrive app. Accepting the lack of a certificate is the only way to proceed. After accepting, the warning does not reappear unless the browser cache is cleared.
