Not getting strong password suggestions on new websites
I am logged in on my Firefox account and have lots of stored passwords. On the Settings page the checkmark next to "Suggest strong password" is checked and so it SHOULD suggest strong passwords. However, I'm just creating a new account on a website and Firefox isn't automatically suggesting a strong password, even when I start typing! How do I get Firefox to suggest a strong password?

Firefox accounts doesn't store your password those are stored locally in Firefox directory folder. Sites are the one to determine their password strength not Firefox browser. You should contact the site about that.
Sorry. The issue is that Firefox has "suggest strong password" turned on. That, to me, clearly means that Firefox is to suggest the password, and Firefox is NOT suggesting strong passwords! I've discovered quite by chance that if I try to create a new password on a new website I'm not getting the option for Firefox to generate the strong password until I type a random password and then click to retype the password THEN it will prompt me if I want to generate a strong password. So, basically, you have to create a random password of your own before it suggests a strong password? If that's the case then so be it, but that's bizarre. The suggestion to generate a strong password should come BEFORE I try to create my own password!
anthony, do you use a primary password and have you already entered it before starting?
One other consideration, are you in a private or normal window?
As an alternative, if you right-click the password field is there a "Suggest Strong Password" option?
