How To Get My Add-ons back
The other day I discovered all my extensions have been disabled. I have an old Mac and am not able to upgrade to a newer version of Firefox. Is Mozilla going to offer a solution for people like me who find their preferred browser to now be frustrating and inefficient? I would love to restore my add-ons. Thank you.

If you type about:addons then Enter or access with the menu your addons list, what is the message when you tried to move the state to enable (click to the right in the selector next to the name)?
I already made my own personal addons. I think you can load your old extensions as if there personal. I will check if it could be persistent when restarting Firefox.
Can you give me the Mac version? If so I could test with my old mac or check online for Firefox forks. I don't know for now but they where allowing older addons not working with Firefox.
Take note that running an old version of Firefox or one of his fork can expose you to security risk.

Thank you! I am using version 78.15.0 for Mac. I cannot upgrade any further due to the age of my computer, which is running 10.11.6. Each of the add-ons are flagged with: "(Add-on Name) could not be verified for use in Firefox and has been disabled." Unlike in the past, there is no longer a slider to "Enable".
I have find your version of Firefox for Mac. I will download and make tests on my old Mac. I don't remember the exact version. It's on my desk, waiting to be convert to a Linux machine.
I'll also try some forks.
Check again tomorrow if you want or Get email update (menu at right - when anybody replies to this topic.)
Thank you very much.
Hello,
I've tested a method to get back add-ons with Firefox 78.15.0 in Linux Debian Jessie 8.0. It works for me.
Here is the link : /en-US/questions/1499663, replace this with an url in this support site (they have the same format).
Before following the steps, you should backup your profile. Type about:profiles in address bar, then Enter Open Root Directory. Copy (not moving) all folders and files of you profile to a folder somewhere else.
Reopen Firefox and type about:addons. Click on the settings ⚙. Unckeck Update Add-ons Automatically.
Follow the steps. Maybe you will have to reload your extension by choosing Install Add-ons from file in the settings. If you need any help, if it succeed or not, let us know. It could help others.
I've also test one Firefox fork. Artic Fox. Web Browser for Mac OS X 10.6+, Linux (PowerPC, x86, amd64, ARM, MIPS), NetBSD, OpenBSD, and Windows XP. The project is very active. I've had no luck getting all the pages to display correctly. I'll will follow this project. My Mac OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopoard) is older than I tought.
Thank you very much for this thoughtful and thorough reply! I followed all the steps but the extensions are still not loaded. The one part i did not do was "reload your extension by choosing Install Add-ons from file in the settings". When I did this part I wasn't able to recognize what to choose. I'm hoping that Firefox will come up with a fix, since it's effected a great many people. I greatly appreciate your help!
