Settings/General/"Update Firefox" is missing, and FF doesn't update automatically

I'm using version 135.0.1 (64-bit) on Win11. The latest version on the site is 136.0, but no notification is given, and Help/About doesn't do it or offer the option. I've browsed the web page that discusses an "Update Firefox" section in Settings/General, but no such section exists. Anyone knows what happened??? Tnx, Nir

Hello

According to your Windows and screenshot MSIX About Settings/General/"Update Firefox" is missing So, that's normal, an subject https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1403147 is it also your case?

OK the responses weren't very clear, but the link to the other article does potentially explain why the update FF section is missing - perhaps I did (unknowingly) get FF from MS. But the main question still holds: how do I update to the latest version. More importantly, can I just download and install the Mozilla version *on top* of the current version and keep the complete profile? Thank you, Nir

As far as i'm concerned, i don't know the answer

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/download-firefox-windows-microsoft-store Note: Some users have reported issues related to the about:support page when using the Microsoft Store version of Firefox. For example, Bug 1760396 and Bug 1788052 highlight problems with the about:support page not working correctly or displaying incorrect profile locations. If you encounter such issues, consider checking the bug reports for more information and potential solutions.
