When printing, copies are coming out a lot smaller

Hello, i belong to a car club and i want to print some pages in A4 size from archived magazines. However they will only copy to a much smaller size.

Did you print preview to be sure it wad the correct size? What size are you referring to?

So i double clik on the pdf file and it opens up full size. As soon as i clik on the printer icon it reduces from A4 to about a third of the size.

I want the copies to be A4 size currently they are about a quarter of this.
