K, so I've read numerous posts on trying to recover my bookmarks. Notta, zilch. Getting the usual messages when trying to import from the backups, etc. 15 backups and none are working. Anyone know how to trace what application Firefox refers to at launch regarding, "another application is using the file" message?

Hi

When you add the bookmarks file back into your profile, are you sure that Firefox and it's processes have ended first?

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support to see if that has effect in case security software is causing problems.
