Other than the most used sites, maybe five, firefox will not follow search for any new site, occasionally after three or so attempts. I have checked my security settings but i still feel like that is what is causing the issue.

Could you share the websites you are having trouble going to? Also, how are you searching for new sites?

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support to see if that has effect.
