LastPass Extension inactive in FF 106.05

Brand new computer running Win 11 v 21H2. I installed FF 106.05 and then the latest LastPass extension. The extension shows black on the toolbar but is unresponsive when clicked. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times but cannot get it to work. I do have the latest LastPass version. No one there can help me. Is there a way to fix it via config? I've used both LP and FF for many years. This the first time I've had this problem.
