Crist1, Thanks for chiming in. I had written the details and the error message when I first posted this, but it seems it never got posted. This one I'd posted out of frustration and actually found what settings need to be changed for the servers for the Tbird up date among the FAQ during a search. It had to do with the authentication settings needed to be changed.
