Hello Matt Thanks for responding. Because of local power fluctuation problems I use the "save" function frequently when I am composing emails' just in case. Some while ago for the first time a caption warned that the file was full and needed attention. My daughter (the one who knows abut tech, due to the fact I am useless on these computors) called over and followed details and emptied the file; following which I noticed that the deleted folder had disappeared. I/we need to find out how to reinstate that folder, as I do erroneously dalete items and have to reverse that delete.

I have checked me Tiscali email address,serviced by/on Talk Talk mail and the delete file has disappeared from there also. Hope you can help? Regards Peter J.

Ok we need to establish if the account is IMAP or POP? With a full message I suspect IMAP, as the only source of a folder full message these days should be a message from the Tiscali server that you have exceeded your quota there. I do need to actually know that one, not guess. It is the first thing on the server settings when you open account settings for the account. (right click the account name in the folder pane for menu showing settings).

Hello Matt The "save" function in write emails in Thunderbird, is a file not a folder All of my five Tiscali email addresses are in Thunderbird; Tiscali as you are probably aware was adopted by Talk Talk, when they went bust several years ago. All of the email accounts are IMAP The only time I access through TalkTalk mail is when I encounter any problems. My five addresses are always accessed through tiscali.co.uk ie my default one is peterjjohn@tiscal.co.uk Thanks for your help Regards Peter J.
